I like Overeem's chances in this one. He has a good enough sprawl that he can fight off takedowns for a couple rounds. His standup is sharp enough that he can make Lesnar hesitant by giving him reminders of his fight with Cain Velazquez.
It already is. And it's more than enough to be able to stuff ANY take down attempt from Lesnar. Don't be surprised if head to head Overeem is the far stronger of the two.
You're a ****ing moron if you really think his takedown defense is already amazing. He hasn't stuffed one legitimate wrestler's shot at HW and he had no takedown defense at 205. If you weren't stuffing JMMA cocks down your throat you might have realized that, you burple ****. PRIDE NEVER DIE!:roflpatsch
This is going to be an ugly fight for Overeem. He'll be on his back two seconds into the first round. After that, it's just a matter of time.
Then it should really just take a knee or two to the gut to get Lesnar running in the wrong direction. I do worry that Overeem will be so concerned about a takedown that he will get caught by a ham hock.
Brock has ZERO striking experience. Notice what happens when he gets hit. He recoils instinctively. That's the expected response from someone with little to no fighting experience. Overeem is one if not THE best striker in the world currently. He also has well over a decades worth of experience at the highest level. Seriously how on earth does any of that bode well for a novice like Brock, taking into account he's coming off a serious bout of illness. Lesnar won't know what hit him.
