Last night boxing and MMA went head 2 head once again and MMA delivered a hell of a beating... We had the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix & Bellator vs. Klitschko/Adamek & Gamboa/Ponce De Leon.

2 lackluster boxing matches that failed to deliver whereas every fight on the Strikeforce and Bellator card delivered with over the top results. Its only a matter of time before MMA takes over boxing as the premier combat sport.

Vitali vs Adamek was well worth the price of admission. I've watched mma a few times, but the fascination wore off rather quickly.

Yeah I saw that fight was £9.99 over here in the UK, the ppv figures must have been abysmal

Didnt know there was any mma yesterday...

And I liked the Ponce/Gamboa fight... just didnt like how it ended.

    just imo

but yes, I agree that I just dont see how mma doesnt continue to grow, UFC especially.... while boxing I think is enjoying its peak. I hope Im wrong but I see mma completely eclipsing boxing within the next 10 years.... unless GBP can do something about it. Im not saying boxing will die, hell no, there will always be the sport and I dont think it will ever be all that unpopular, but mma is going to rise to another level I think, on the back of UFC...

I really, really hope Im wrong though. Id love to see Boxing continue to grow and rise as well with the help of ESPN, HBO and Showtime.

They weren't the most exciting fights, but if you appreciate the sport, you enjoyed the technical nuances of elite fighters competing.

Naw, it wasn't . . . and I saw it for free! I want that hour of my life back!

Speaking of MMA, there was an event at the same time?
