Did anyone think Adamek had a chance?

I thought he was Vitali's toughest opponent since Sanders. I gave Adamek about a 25% chance of winning. The new 3rd best heavy, Povetkin I would have given less of a chance of winning.

yup he came in with some jabs but mostly set his feet in front of Vitali and tried to land something but never tried to create angles to at least connect with some punches. that was what i expected him to do to maybe snatch a round or two before he gets beat up.. I don´t think he´d look much better than Chisora if he fought someone like Fury next the same way tbh

thats ok bro im not hating just thought adamek was there to fill that stadium. think thats why it was in poland too. I actually thought it was funny seeing bigger slower man outbox the smaller quicker fighter. adamek tough hes no technician though

Adamek won every round against McBride, I don't know how that's struggling.

anyone with a brain knew adamek wasn't going to compete with vitali. he's not that good at heavyweight. i won't say he's crap, but he's not far off from being crap.

he got dominated for every second of every round... badly! he ran and threw a few jabs here and there... that's it. it's a decent win for vitali, but nothing more.

i bet the polish are feeling very stupid after slagging haye off for his performance against wladimir. adamek made haye look like hearns at his peak. i guess adamek should be happy that it wasn't wlad in there last night, as he would of knocked adamek out the the first right hand he landed. he is just too easy to hit and doesn't have much boxing ability.

i hope haye gets to fight vitali next... that way, he gets to redeem himself. vitali found adamek to be a very easy and straight forward victim... he'll find haye won't be anything of the sort. with vitali's low left hand, haye will have a clear shot at the head with his bombs. i wouldn't be surprised if haye actually knocks him out. vitali isn't as controlling with the jab as wlad is. haye WILL be able to get his shots off more.

people will continue to slag haye off until he proves something in the ring... i think that moment will be upon us soon. then the rematch with wlad. it isn't over just yet for haye, and he'll prove it if he gets to fight vitali next.

I think you've got to give Vitali credit for the nature of the win, but questions should be asked about how good Adamek is at HW too.

I thought there was a very slight chance he could outbox Vitali but it was about a 10% chance, when he darted in and out a few times and Vitali shrugged it off I knew his punches were redundant and he was the one who would suffer a stoppage.

Full credit though, much bigger and stronger guys have done far worse than he did.

    Rumsfeld isn't even Polish

I honestly don't remember 1 of us actually authentically picking Adamek to win. Rooting for him, yes. Picking him, not that I have seen.

I thought he had a chance, but I was not picking him.

I was however surprised how ineffective he was. Didn't think at all it would be that one sided.

To be fair the poles love the Klitschkos anyway

So it's not all that bad for them

Russians, surely more so then Ukrainians.

With Ukrainians I think it is the other way around, and they don't like us much. At least from what I hear. All the Ruskis and Ukrainians I have had to deal with have been good people.. with a few exceptions.

Klitschkos.. yea I root for them. I like them as people, and fighters as well. Although yesterday I was cursing them like never before. ****s.

Vitali fought in a Polish boxing club before turning pro I think. Saleta beat him in their kick boxing days if I'm not mistaking.

Rumsfeld has a Polish grandparent. That explains his soft spot for Golota and Adamek.

I honestly thought Adamek didn't stand a chance but that he would do better than many of Vitali's recent opponents. I thought his speed and athleticism would allow him to get some shots off early against a past prime and ageing Vitali.

But Vitali was in top form coming in lighter then he has done for years and just dominated Adamek like everyone else which for me was surprising. I have always thought Vitali is superior to Wlad and what happened last night only reinforced that belief.

    that is weird.

Wlad could have and would have ended it when decided to throw first Power punch.
