That ****in Vitali is gonna kill somone ala Rocky 4. Is that what it is gonna take?

After watchin fights like Chisora vs Fury Klitschko vs Haye and Adamek vs Klitschko. It is super heavyweight divsion time. i would advise Haye not to fight that one. Vitali is a psychopath.

And youre a ******. Shut up about super heavyweight division. If haye cant deal with bigger fighters then either retired or go back to crusierweight.

no that's what cruiserweights for. aside from klitchko and a few others heavyweight actually have been about the sames size. and aside from klitchko those other big guys actually are not that skilled and can be quite vulnerable.

What would be the weight criteria? Maybe there would have to be some kind of minimum height requirement. A 260 pound man that's 5'-10" would be ridiculous.

:deal The idea is stupid.... and it would undoubtedy be the most boring division in all of boxing. In the history of the sport there have been very few super-sized heavyweights who have ever been any good. You make a seperate super heavyweight division you'd basically have what you have now. One or two dominant guys at the top with absolutely no competition being offered up by the rest of the division. Or even wrose, when the Klitschkos retire you may have no dominant force and then you have a situation where a bunch of over-sized bums are trading the major titles on a monthly basis.

All you'all seem to agree that there's something unfair about a great 6'6 250 lb boxer facing a great 6'1 210 lb boxer. That's the impression I got from the round by round last night.

When they proposed making the crusierweight division the same dumb argument was probably heard. "If the 190 lb boxer can't beat the 230 lb boxer he should drop to light heavy!".... Cmon dude.

    Make 2 additional divisions

    Heavyweight 200-230
    Super Heavyweight 230-275
    Titanweight 275+

One of the problems with a super heavyweight division is even someone Vitalis size could cut enough weight to get down to under 220 pounds. Even if super heavweights were to be 210 pounds and over some very big guys can cut down to 210 pounds.

I think a big guy can cut more weight then a small guy cause they have more water weight. I would not be surprised if a 240 pound fighter can cut 30 pounds.

    Stupid idea.

They invented a whole division for that reason.

    175+ used to be heavyweight
    then 190+
    then 200+

At worst, push cruiser up to 210.

Cruisers are basically just small heavyweights anyway.

A better answer would be to get some heavyweights that aren't ****. Seriously.

There are (IMO) 4 heavyweights who a semblance of skill and ability. 2 are huge, 1 is an ex cruiser ,and 1 is an ex lhw and cruiser.

Haye didn't have the will to get stuck in against Wlad (he definitely had the power to worry him, we saw that), and Adamek just has no threat against Vitali.

More divisions and more belts, just what boxing needs.

    Brilliant thread.

The word heavyweight shouldnt mean that all guys above a certain weight is all the same. That dosent make sense to me because its like thinking backwards. Thats why we got weight divisions in the first place. The fact of the matter is that guys are getting a lot bigger and to keep a sense of fair play, its time to create a superheavy weight division.:bbb:bbb:bbb
