The fight has been very well scheduled by Channel 5. Starts at 8:45pm and finished at 10:15pm...followed by Big Brother. X Factor finishes at 9pm so the actual fight will not clash with that and it will be finished before MOTD. With a 90minute timeslot you have to hope Fury doesn't blast this guy out in 1 round though.
Great news. I hope it doesn't go the distance and they will show some of the Casey fight. That should be entertaining.
Well done to C5. Great slot based on what the OP says. Badly done to Hennessey as neither the right opponent or right marketing was achieved.
Fair play to them. I hope we get some coverage of the undercard, even if it is just a quick 5 minute highlight. It's a shame the opponent is so **** mind. Hope it doesn't put then off.
This increases the chances of Junior Witter being on in front of millions of viewers. Is it a good thing?
Do they stream the fight live on there website. If they do I will have a look at it. While waiting for the Smith v Selby fight on Sky on the same night.
They didn't show any undercard but they did show about 20 minutes of build up before the fight started on who these guys were and it was fairly entertaining, helped by Chisora and Fury being guys with a bit of personality. I thought that was a better idea than some 4 rounder, most people watching won't have known much or anything about either fighter, and they're the potential stars to be built up.
Yeah it was worth a good build up for the Chisora fight. This one I'm not so sure but as long as it's done in a way where it doesn't get stale it should be fine. As long as they don't start with an awful 8 rounder like Sky seem to keep doing. I doubt Al Bernstein's coming back so do we know who Channel 5 are getting in?
