I know that he sustained this injury before the JMM fight back in 2009. But it looked particularly horrible this past week on 24/7. He even had a padded shirt in grey in the gym and a black one in his house. That cant be good. I bet that Robert Garcia will have Victor zone in on that. After all the body is much easier to hit than the head, Castillo showed us that Floyd can be hit to the body especially against the ropes. It got me thinking, Floyd is the prohibitive favorite here but sometime the human body just starts breaking and slowing down. He can not afford to look rusty here in my oppinion. Victor will be sharp from round one and bringing the fight to him. I am still picking Floyd, but I can't help but think that sometimes time, inactivity, old injuries can catch up to you. So maybe, just possibly this weekend we can witness a little history if Floyd looses to Victor. I also saw Mosely vs. Floyd and Berto vs. Ortiz this weekend and Mosely really hurt Floyd badly twice in round 2, if Victor get him in trouble it aint gonna be easy to weather that storm. I can't wait.:bbb Thought comments welcome! Remember, when we never thought that RJJ would ever be beat??
...I am tempted to go small on Ortiz. Though Floyd will have the ready made excuse of "I got old man"...=/
is he really the ref for this one or are u just taking ****? i dint want to see no early "fair but firm" stopage
Robert Garcia's brother Danny is actually the one who trains Ortiz. Floyd does a very good job at protecting his body. I only remember him taking some decent bodyshots in 2 fights, and he was still able to walk through them. He was fighting better opponents than Ortiz in thos efights.
i did see the thing poking out it always gets me worried when i see fighters with that and iv still seen him wear the protective padding but to be honest iv never seen it have an effect on fighters look at arthur abraham he has the same hing poking out
This, cortez is a *****. He is a paid member of the Mayweather entourage. The hatton fight for example. Not saying Hatton would of won, but you would of seen a very different fight.
thats true Abraham does have that too but he has always had it. I thought Mayweather had gotten rid of it did not see during mosely fight anad what the hell is it anyway?:huh
Cortez allows body shots but he allows no holding and grappling at all which is against the rules. Some refs ignore that and it does at times make for a better fight but it is against the rules.
