The only presenter on that show who is not biased is Spencer Oliver. Is Oliver a big advocate of British Boxing? yeah probably, but he knows where to draw the line between being fair and honest. He's not gonna allow nationalism to cloud his judgement as much as the rest.

I know an American poster who was quite a considered kinda guy who used to watch Skysports telecasts, but stopped watching as he found it nauseating how overly biased they were, and that filters though from the presenters, right down the judges and referee's.

Me personally I dont care to see British Boxing excel, although I'm not adverse to it either, if there is a good fighter I'll watch and appreciate him, but generally, I just wanna see good fighters irrespective of where they're from. I think your missing out a bit if you cant fully appreciate other fighters due to nationalism

Just for ONCE, why dont Sky consider, you know, actually consider being neutral?

you mean the "partiality of Sky Sports is sickening" - otherwise you're saying something very different.

Did anyone here that Nick Halling **** the other night. He said after 8 rounds he couldnt see anyone winning the fight but Prescott. Then when the decision is read out he says McCloskey was the deserved winner. Surely to **** he had Prescott winning that fight after 8 rounds then.

The thing that annoys me is that they never concentrate on what the opponent needs to do to win, its always about what the Brit should do.

I can take a bit of home fighter tub thumping before and after the fight but at least try and call the fight itself fairly.

That's what makes me laugh half the time, not just about that specifically, but the fact they dont even try to hide their biased.

I know what you mean. Skys boxing can be like the old WWF programs where the star would be facing some guy called Bob Smith who was just there like part of the ring, completely irrelevant to what the real story was, the guy who's beating him up. I sent my friend a dvd of the fighter he trained beating Stephen Foster, I wasn't happy about what he'd see because his guy Fegatelli won the European title, there's about 30 seconds on him before the fight, and nothing after even though he'd won, they just talk about Foster the beaten home fighter, and Barry Mcguigan calls him "Fragatelli". Never mind the commentary and punditry being heavily biased.

Very true and it pisses me off to no end.

Adam Smith really gets on my tits on Ringside with this 'great times for British Boxing' shite!
Hes a right arse licker always sucking British fighters off.

I guarentee you Mcguigan will be on soon picking Barker to beat Martinez!

Oh man!, dont start, he kills me with that.

Yeah great times if your nationalistic and like people championing British fighters, but what about the neutrals, I guess you only cater for biased/nationalistic fans then?
