well his loss to Morales was one of the best fights of the decade

so in a way yes Pac has been amazing even in that loss.

his other losses were so long ago they don't really mean much today

people who understand boxing understand this.

I guess you don't though. no hard feelings man just keep watching teh sport. hopefully Cubans can keep turning pro so you don't lose interest.

People, I am not hating on Pac as I like him as a person and much less taking his credit away. I am just trying to express my opinion here, that's all ...

I guess I don't understand then. Maybe it's because that hardly happens to our Cuban fighters when they defect. They hardly never lose to any mediocre opponents starting their pro careers. :verysad

Love the cuban fighters but their nutthuggers are s dumb as it gets.

By this ******'s logic Gavilan is **** cause he lost to Doug Ratford who had a record of 27-18-6 twice and to Tony Mar who had a record of 48-23-5.

Jose Napoles is **** cause he lost to Tony Perez who had a 14-5 record and Kid Chocolate is **** cause he lost to phill baker who was 49-27-6 at the time.

So in your view all the cuban fighters who i consider great were nothing special cause they have losses against unknowns,or do you give them a pass cause they have the same nationality as you?

Jesus Christ, if this was posted in any other forum it would be laughed off, yet half these responses are deadly serious.

What the **** is wrong with you people?

And hey, ***boa express, what do you think about legendary Cuban fighter Kid Chocolate losing to a 5-5-1 fighter? That's far more ****ing embarrassing than any loss Pacquiao has, right? And I suppose that Kid Gavilan fella is a joke aswell for getting beat by a 25-11 fighter too, huh?

Don't take this as an insult, take it as an observation - you don't know **** about baaaxin :good

yeah that cubans that never loses to any mediocre opponents at the start of their careers and done nothing great along the way til they vanished.

that's why cubans are great amatures and not professional boxers.

is that what you're trying to point out?:hi::hi::bbb

Hardcore Pacquiao fans could do with a rivalry aside from Mayweather. Get their minds off Floyd for a minute or two.

I am only talking about when a star is " starting his pro career ". Chocolate went almost 50-0 until his first loss, I don't know about Napoles but Gavilan also went a long way until his first loss. Yes, they also lost to unknown fighters but I think that mainly happened in their passed glory days. I know that most of Gavilan's defeat came in when he was way passed it already. Just check the records ...

And please, why is it so hard to have a conversation without being insulted? :-(

OK give me proof that Chocolate lost to a 5-1 fighter STARTING HIS PRO CAREER. Chocolate went almost 50-0 before his first pro defeat, learn boxing.

Like I said, Gavilan lost most of his bouts when he was an old man already. It's a fact, search the records.

No. All boxers need time to develop. Ali didn't just get in the ring for the first time and beat Joe Frazier. Additionally, the reason why guys like Andre Ward are undefeated is because they have successful amateur careers, and then start boxing when they've got some serious skills on them. Pac started pro boxing at 16 to earn the 20 pesos he needed to keep himself fed.

Look at it the other way round: once Pacquiao's skills started to flesh out he became the force that has dominated all opposition for the last 6 years (with the exception of Marquez), and has only lost against El Terrible since 1999.

dickhead and Im a Floyd fan

    ahahaha

he was fighting from when he was fifteen or sixteen fighting grown men. Hes come on leaps and bounds since then

guys fought and beaten Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Cotto and many more.

****ing sick of these boxrec losers who see 3 losses on someones record and cant understand with their feeble minds how that person is ranked above someone undefeated.

**** sake actually watch some boxing. Pac is the only fighter who has 50 50 chance with Floyd around his weight at the minute. and he used to be a flyweight!
