Haha yeah Hatton bitching because Floyd was being too rough and dirty. That is just poetic justice right there, after the raping Hatton gave Tszyu on the inside. Low blows, hits behind the head, hits on the hold, excessive hugging. hatton was made to be a straight up ***** by Floyd, beaten on the inside and outside. Maybe if Hatton didn't try and hug him constantly, Floyd wouldn't have had to hold him off with his forearm :patsch

    No sorry disagree - Hatton 1st , 5th, 6th(point deducted) , 7th.

Whether there was a significant difference Im not sure , but the score cards were a long way off , infact most people were suprised with the points tally come the 10th.

    Man you are dumb,

Hatton even said 'this is not a tickling competition' he had no problems with the tactics.

Also against Tszyu , it was Tszyu doing the holding and low blows, infact Tszyu has even said that he needed to hold on to get his breath because the pace was not what he expected.

Floyd did more holding than Hatton in the fight fact. Floyds tactics were punch and grab for the first 6 rounds , tire out the smaller man , then when the fight slowed Mayweather boxed more on the outside and finished the job.

If gotta say, having watched ortiz's recent fights, he is going to get schooled badly by mayweather. At least Shane and JMM have fought ATG's before. Who has Ortiz fought of that caliber to prepare him.

Look man the fact is that PBF beat the **** outta Ricky. The fight wasn't close a case could be made for a shutout. Ricky landed nothing of note and his aggression was ineffective and was used against him by a master. PBF schooled Hatton baited him and set traps had him so wound up that he didn't know if he was coming or going got him to become more reckless and finished him off with that check hook a check hook that he landed and missed with earlier in the fight. It was a brilliant gameplan and display but is often underrated here. Give credit where it's due he schooled Ricky.

It is strange how people see fights differently. Hatton winning 5 rounds? Up on the cards? Absolute rubbish. It was a messy fight, it wasn't a competitive one.

The discussion wasnt whether Floyd was the better fighter , he clearly is .

The point was and still is 'who was doing the holding and turning away' it was clearly Floyd. Floyds tactics were beautifully delivered punch hard , hold , wear down the smaller man and taken him out in the later rounds . All delivered precisely.

The point should be made that Cortez did an awful job, let Floyd use elbows , turn away and constantly hold, but this is never mentioned , it is always the check left hook that Hatton was running into .

I think De La Hoya gave Floyd his toughest fight.... even Floyd Sr. thought De La Hoya should have won and even one of the judges scored it in De La Hoya's favor giving Floyd the "split" decision.

I don't even remember Hatton convincingly winning one round against Floyd. I remember Hatton trying to wrestle and rough Floyd up but I don't remember Hatton landing clean effective punches.

Words are just that. Words. People who are good with them use them to their own ends.

For example, if Floyd had the foresight that people would be hating on his schooling of Hatton, he could say Hatton was one of the hardest opponents he faced. Etc for all other situations

Hatton kept hugging and Floyd was using his forearm/elbow to stop Ricky from hugging so much. It looked like he was using it to push Ricky away, not using it to hit Rick.

lol you tell me who was landing, watch how many times Mayweather makes Hatton's head bobble. How many left hooks and over hand rights landed.

Mayweather had Hatton dased or slightly hurt a couple times within the first 4 rds. Not even counted the pts added up with the jabs to the body.

All Hatton did is crowd the **** out of Mayweather, to the point that he couldn't work either. It was an ugly fight and Hatton knew he had to make it that way. I'll give him credit for doing what he had to do and thats stay right on Floyds chest but he was at no point in that fight. Only reason he didn't get sparked earlier is floyd refuses to take any risk whatsoever.

Ortiz has no chance, I'll be watching football and I'll catch teh replay next week.
