The figure offered. The fight option or options requested. Who'd know what they can and can't believe in all this?

The two managers are the only ones who really know, and at least one of them is lying through their teeth :yep.

Good pick up Jet. I notice on The Scene's forum there is mention of it.

Trout's people have had to search high and low for an opponent.

According to Greg Cohen, who handles Austin Trout's career, they are working towards a late November match-up on HBO with Rodriguez.

Austin Trout vs Delvin Rodriguez may be firming:

Delvin Rodriguez: If Trout wants to fight, I accept the challenge

    by Phil D. Jay - WBN Editor - 22nd Sept 2011

Fresh from his ‘Fight of the Year’ contender with Pawel Wolak, 154lb contender Delvin Rodriguez is hoping his enhanced reputation can lead to a world title challenge in the near future.

The 31 year-old has only the biggest fights at light-middleweight in his sights and told WBN that he is willing to wait as long as it takes to tempt the biggest fighters in the division into a bout with him.

"My manager A.J. Galante has been having discussions with my promoter Star Boxing and we want the best available opponents,” Rodriguez told WBN.

“I have paid my dues and deserve a chance to get on HBO or Showtime.

“I heard that Austin Trout stated he would face me for his belt, well I accept the challenge and definitely want that fight.

“It is up to the promoters at this point but I will fight anybody as long as the purse is fair for all parties involved.

“AJ and I never overprice ourselves, we just want something fair and more importantly, my goal is to get more exposure on a major network and win a world title,” he added.

Rodriguez currently holds a record of 25-5-3 with 14 KO’s and campaigned at welterweight until July last year where he fought wars with current British champion Ashley Theophane and Rafal Jackiewicz, gaining a reputation for his all-action style.

Trout lands title defense in El Paso and will face LoPorto on Showtime

by Jason Groves - Las Cruces Sun - 17th October 2011

LAS CRUCES - Austin Trout and Anthony Mundine will eventually face each other in the boxing ring.

But since their August match up fell through, things have actually worked out for the best for Trout.

Instead of traveling to Australia, Trout will face another Australian, in El Paso on Nov. 11 at Cohen Stadium. The fight against Frank LoPorto be Trout's first televised on Showtime and the first national television appearance since beating Byron Tyson in 2008 on ESPN2.

"Most guys get on Showtime to get a belt, but I did the opposite," said Trout, 23-0 as a professional. "People can finally see what all of the talk is about. I have been working hard so that I don't disappoint."

Trout's last WBA 154-pound title defense was a unanimous decision over David Lopez in Mexico. His next fight is the first time he has fought on U.S. soil since 2009.

"It ended up working out great because it's televised and in El Paso," Trout said. "It was a win-win."

Mundine is a mandatory fight for Trout as the No. 1 contender.

"Hopefully it will lead to a better payday," Trout said. "I'm not looking past any fight but HBO has shown interest in a Trout-Mundine fight."

LoPorto is 15-4 with seven knockouts. He knocked out Aswin Cabuy in April.

"I don't have any film on him yet, but from what I've gathered, he comes right at you," said Louie Burke, Trout's trainer. "He's a very strong aggressive fighter. It will be a classic boxer versus slugger fight is what I'm anticipating."
