    If he had that resume, and has say lost to Tszyu and Pacquiao twice, i would hold him in MUCH higher regard! He seems to care too much about his precious '0', when infact we learn more about boxers coming off a loss rather than fighting second rate opponents and taking extended breaks every 30 seconds

    Agree with this, Mike would have done a lot better than he did if cus never died until 10 years later

    What if.......

    Degale had gotten the decision against Groves? Would he have been fast tracked and schdualed to fight Steiglitz?

    Groves would probably still be fighting Paul Smith

    Cus let Tyson get away with all sorts & then smoothed out any problems afterwards. As long as Mike kept training hard & winning he had carte blanche. If Teddy Atlas hadnt left the camp after becoming fustrated with Cus letting Mike do whatever he wanted then Tyson might have turned out very different.

    What if...Rocky Marciano had be around in the late 80s-early 90s? He probably would have been beaten a few times, but may well have enhanced his legacy

    Nah, he would've been way too small and got splattered by the likes of Bowe, Lennox, Tyson. He came around in a sparse era with a few great fighters. He was the best fighter at about 185-190lbs there ever was, and there's a reason he didn't take on the bigger guys like Valdez (although I actually think he would've beaten him) and that's because he wasn't that big.

    I definitely consider him an accumulative puncher, and whilst tough and defensively capable for a come forward fighter, his crouch will make him a fairly tough target for the bigger guys punching down, but with his style, his propensity to mark up, and the fact he could be hit and hurt, means I'd favour a lot of bigger guys to batter him.

    I wouldn't really like him in the post-Ali/Larry Holmes era with Berbick, 'Spoon, Weaver, Cooney. And Larry. Although I'd favour Marciano over Shavers, who was under 210 at his best.

    Around his own weight, Gene Tunney or Harry Greb would give him the best fight IMO, but he's pretty much unbeatable against everyone else.

    Yeah I'm under that impression as well Flea. He would have been an awesome Cruiser but he doesn't have that much success against the bigger Heavies. Lewis certainly KOs him, and Bowe. I think a Tyson fight would be fun while it lasted (but a young mike overwhelms him).

    I'm actually quiet fond of Rocky, but he would be ultimately too small to have the same impact he did against other smaller guys like Jersey Joe, Charles, Moore etc

    I've always felt Tyson would ddemolish him inside a round to be honest.

    None of The Rocks opposition would've fared much better against Kid Dynamite IMO, though a prime version of Louis has a stylistic chance.

    Holyfield v Tyson had happened on Nov 8th 1991
    Meldrick Taylor hadn't been knocked down in round 12
    Stanley Ketchel hadn't been shot
    Leonard didn't suffer a detached retina
    Riddick Bowe was disciplined

    He would of fought more often, had more wins, had a better resume overall, but on the balance of probabilities, probably would of lost his cherry...
