i know this is a mismatch like floyd-mosley but i'll probabaly watch this again in the cinemas like before. the good thing is that it will be shown on sunday morning here so it would be right after my morning run and will go straight to the mall.

anyone can wait until a guy wins a title and handpicks the weakest champion. Leonard handpicked Lalonde in 1988 and had him fight at 168 where he did not hold a title, and yet the fight was for the 175 pound title. That is when Ray lost credibility. Floyd is handpicking guys who are easier for him to beat. He is not fighting the best or even close. I like Ortiz, but Victor is not ready for Floyd who is experienced and will counterpunch Ortiz and stop him late in the fight.

it is predictable. Floyd handpicks a guy and then at the post fight press conference he will hint about retiring saying he has done everything in boxing he could do.

Or a mismatch like Pac vs Mosley, right?

In any case, I like to see Mayweather in the ring. He´ll put on a performance of boxing.

I´m not too excited about the outcome of the fight, because I know the result already :smoke

It's predictable because floyd is the best at the weight until proved otherwise.

So who should Floyd be fighting at this moment in time aside from Pac (who already had Marquez booked) and Martinez (dangerous fight for a WW)?

Floyd went to watch Berto vs Ortiz, probably scouting the then undefeated Berto as an opponent. Turns out Ortiz took his title in what was probably the most exciting fight of 2011.

Ortiz can hardly be considered a cherry pick simply because he's going to lose. If that's the case, pretty much everyone is a cherry pick.

If berto won and Floyd is fighting him, Floyd will still not get credit. But atleast he's fighting a winner with a title.

this is true people say things like when is Floyd going to fight a challenge? When has there ever been a fight in Floyds weight division where he would have been the underdog since he won a title?

None. Even when he fights the apparent fighter of the decade he will still be the favourite.

he really hasn't proven he is the best yet. He always ducked the best fighters and he still does. It is so obvious that he handpicked a guy who he thinks has a weak chin and who will get tired and be easy to hit as the round go on. Ortiz might be a little tough for him in rounds one and two like many guys are, but Mayweather will easily adjust and take over and stop him late.

Floyd does not look for tough challenges. He probably did go see the Berto/Ortiz fight to see what weaknesses they had so he could handpick one of them, and if Berto looked really tough he would not have fought him. I like Victor, but no way is he going to take the clean punches of Floyd for 12 rounds. Ortiz is a good young fighter, but not someone which a guy the caliber of Floyd should be fighting when Floyd had 3 guys he could have fought recently. Ortiz drew with Peterson and was knocked out two years ago by Maidana. Floyd should have fought Margarito and Cotto like Pacman did when they were at welt. Those were the two toughest guys at welt. and Floyd never came close to fighting them or Pacman.

he never fought Cotto or Williams or Margarito. He would not have moved up and fought Sergio Martinez since that is a fight he could lose. And there is no way Ortiz is anywhere near as good as Martinez.

If berto would have won, he would have handpicked berto to. When does it ever end.

You mean cotto who quit against margarito?

You mean williams who lost to a limited quintana?

You mean margarito who got knocked out by mosley?

You see how easy it is to play the hating game.
