Be a nice way for Sky to start building some stars. 10 round fights if a belts no on the line. I think any combination of the fights bellow would be a good opener on a sky fight night. The winners get a title shot of some kind. True, I believe Haskins/Sexton and co are going into PF? Dunno if true or not. I'd prefer this set up rather then PF. Edit:From the Scene..
This :deal I quite like the idea of a Super 8 style tournament where the boxers fight every 2 weeks. 1/4 final - 5 rounds Semi final - 7 rounds final - 9 rounds It'll be far less scrappy than PF, and boxers true ability will shine threw rather than having to give it everything in 9 minutes
Apparently Allegedly has pulled Gavin from an English title fight with Amar because he lacks experience.
This idea was thrown about a good year or so ago and got a mixed response. Personally i think it's a great idea. It does two things: good competition for good domestic contenders, and it confirms who might be a cut above and good to move on. It might also help establish a proper pecking order rather than done of the shitty rankings that come out
Of course it'll be extremely strenuous on fighters body's, and then they have to deal with cuts etc. Maybe every 4 weeks is doable. Just do it over a number of weeks ratherthab having fighters windmill for 3x3 rounds
I'd say every month and a half but they would have to have scan's between fights. Remember these guys will spar inbetween the bouts etc and we must protect our fighters. In the old days we got away with it and i love to go back to them days but as long as fighters are being protected. Month/2months between bouts should be ok.
Yeah, but realistically Frankie ought to be able to beat him, weighing in at 141 if necessary. If Allegedly isn't careful the careers of his Olympians could end up a car crash.
