Froch has a great resume. One tough fight after another. And he is getting better. Throughout the super six he has improved his game which is kind of surprising for a man his age. The way he totally dismantled AA was surprising. Now Froch has a great opportunity to establish himself as THE BEST. So, at this point in time I would go with "Froch is very good! Perhaps THE BEST!"

good enough to beat Dirrell and Abraham, but not good enough to beat Kessler.

Your comments live off of resumes. Should maybe inject them with non- resume i.e. performance related content that's not limited to "hard-punching" or "clearly beat". As it stands, dealing with you on ESB, there's no intent for debating a fighter's performance in the ring, no hint of styles makes fights it's all black and white and comprised of the words win, loss, KO, world class, levels below, Joe Calzaghe, champ, 2-time, 3-time, beaten, has a win over, blah blah blah blah blah. No grey subjective area, might as well come up with algorithms & templates to save time. Oh wait, I think I've witnessed a lot of copy-paste from you already.

    "Mr Selective" - LOL :rofl
That was part of my attempt to reason and list **** like you, basically you are the one who's being selective in a lot of fukkin threads. One minute I read you downplay Ward's win over Kessler stating he was an unwell fighter suffering double vision, couple days pass and here you are saying it's a great win. And if you were talking about AA, one day you say he's was a long undefeated MW champ highlighting his long past achievements to project a good image in the present, the next day you're all about him being a S6 failure who simply cannot hang at 168. You spin **** to suit your agenda, period. Na, naaah, STFU. Agenda. :good

I think your funniest ones there were..

"They made more unifications between this lot (with Calzaghe/Lacy, Kessler/Beyer and Calzaghe/Kessler), In around a space of 2 years, which ruins your arguement"

They made more unifications back then, therefore today's unifications cannot be tougher i.e. even matchups between champs. Love the logic. :D

    and

"No major need really. Calzaghes legacy is still partly running the S6"

AJJ. ENNNNNNNNNN. DAH. AGENDA. Agenda. agenda...

I don't think a true boxing fan should go all out 110% on resume in any kind of matchup discussion. But you do sometimes, just to negate one's opinion for the hell of it, and it goes under the radar because not everyone has time to scrutinize Boxrec as much as you do. You keep the achievements in mind, the experience altogether, but you also gotta value styles a good deal. Ask an ATG to explain why Joe Schmoe is so great nowadays, why he's #1... is he gonna pull a good dozen of names citing belts, other fighters' injuries, how he could beat this guy and by some 17 historical links that prove he's better than (anyone) on paper, etc etc. ???????????

    Hell no.

BTW you or other subletted Boxrec reps will never convince ME that Markus Beyer is a decent fighter, let alone a decent human being. I couldn't care less to hear why he's so great, he's not. He didn't have enough power and couldn't compensate in volume or jab effectiveness, too small for SMW, definitely not a fan-friendly style, etc. And of course he ripped off Eric Lucas in a title bout via ridiculous decision as 2 judges scored the crowd more than they did the fight. Lucas travelled to Germany, this was AT BEST a draw for Beyer and the least they could offer is a rematch in Quebec. All those years of being champ resulting in you praising the guy in discussions, is founded on a belt he never fukkin deserved in the first place. End of.
