http://www.insidehboboxing.com/inside/2011/9/13/emanuels-manual-stewards-keys-to-the-fight.html Floyd Mayweather 1. Be prepared mentally for a challenge 2. Place his punches accurately 3. Punch with power: Victor Ortiz 1. Force a faster pace 2. Dont be in awe of Mayweather 3. Dont get caught with the counter right hand :think
1 and 2 for Victor are fair. The rest is obvious, surely? "Don't get hit with that counter right hand" might as well be "Protect yourself at all times".
in fairness his actual breakdown is a bit more in depth When Ortiz fights aggressively, he leaves his head a little high, which means hes there to be caught with a counter right hand. Floyd has not knocked anybody out with that punch in a long time, but its still one of his best punches. Ortiz is physically strong enough to win, but hes got to be careful not to walk into right hands.
Ah, just read the article the points make more sense. Guess I'll do a little research before criticizing Steward next time, lol.
