I don't get why people say this...he is the best opposition that a Klit can fight but you want him to step aside...for what? Will his retiring make the heavyweight scene better overnoght?, no.

Haye seems to be #3 by default, despite having not beaten a ranked HW for nearly two years.

A bit like Mayweather still being in the P4P's.

Surely he is at least behind Povetkin after beating Chagaev and with Haye losing every round in his last fight?

People seem to want a retirement because he wasn’t the samurai jedi warrior he said he was. That said, I doubt a fight with Vitali would be entertaining.

I just want to see the guy fight some guys who’d make for good fights. Why not have a post-Klitschko content with Adamek or Arreola. He can beat both but the dimensions mean they’ll have a proper contest and a bit of a tear-up.

If he wasnt British he wouldnt be as highly thought of.VERY overrated especially when people still say hes easily the 3rd best HW in the world and basically say he would beat the rest with ease:lol:

who was the last person to go 12 with wlad????

haye.....prior that it was Ibragimov in 2008......

tell me who else deserves a shot.....

haye was also the last title holder in the division appart from the brothers......

makes sense both money and fight wise.

Yet you have some obsession with him in relation to him destroying Enzo.No more Haye threads what a cheek from a guy who make ridiculous threads (albeit sometimes funny) about Enzo

Haye went the distance with really negative tactics.

Little to be proud of IMO.

Yeah.If he had actually tried to win then he too would have been smashed much like Adamek.
I give Adamek credit for at least trying and not just being negative.Haye deserves none because unlike Adamek he actually has power to trouble bigger men.
Ibragimov who couldnt hurt Wlad went 12 and was negative the whole fight.I dont see anyone giving him credit for going the distance though.

    agreed.

its like Manuel Calvo saying he went the distance with Naseem Hamed. - that dosent make him one of the best in the world - he ran all night.

I want him to retire, because he said he would. What is there left to prove? He has shown himself an excellent 200lber, who could compete with the best 250lbs+ monsters, and beat most of them.

Kudos to him, especially if he resists that one final fight, that so often turns into another five+...
