Do people think it is a good strategy for Floyd to stand his ground against ortiz like he did against mosley? Ortiz is younger, hits just as hard, and has legs. wonder what tactic floyd will employ? will he fight ortiz toe to toe or pot-shot?

I remember floyd saying he will fight ortiz toe to toe like he did against mosley

    Definitely pot-shot.

Given the power of Ortiz, how poor his defense is, and how wide open he is up the middle in the course of punching, it would be stupid from a strategic point of view for Mayweather to do anything else.

Ortiz is going to come forward, and probably walk into shots over and over. Floyd is probably going to use his moment against him and get his respect at least by the midway point, instead of backpedaling. "Toe to toe" is kind of an exaggerated term for how Floyd applies pressure, but I chose that option because I believe he's going to do what he did with Corely, Judah, and Mosley.

He'll do whatever he needs to do to win...he will adapt and work it as the fight demands.

He'll do both. He'll have to. Mayweather is pragmatic. Regardless.

Ortiz is not completely helpless. The way people are telling it at this point this will be like Floyd Mayweather vs. some guy off the street. Not quite. Ortiz is a better fighter than he showed against Berto. Yeah. His technical abilities and outside attack have a little more personality and intelligence to them than people are remembering.
