So he earned a stay busy fight, if he wants to fight again this year.

Povetkin said no, so Mormeck is okay.

Mormeck in a stadium? wtf? very poor idea! Mormeck in France would be ok, everything else is ridiculous! Look Vitali make a stay busy fight against an undefeated Johnson in Switzerland, thats what real Champion should do, when he decided to make a stay busy fight.

Why not Arreola in LA or Dimitrenko in Düsseldorf?

 

If the Chisora fight had gone through and the Mormeck fight happens, Wlad will have fought a 14 fight novice and two Cruiserweights this year. ATG my arse. As for Haye fans being ****s, everyone knows who the real ****s on these boards are. Even *******s think you guys are spasticated.

ok since we are going on ifs...if the wba had of santioned mormeck vs haye 2 when haye ducked chagaev wed still have never seen wlad vs haye...FACT

 

Haye had plenty of contenders willing and even wanting to fight him last december. Chagaev was begging for the fight, protesting the BBBoC's ban of him. Haye purposefully refused Chageav by staying in GB. Holyfield was also begging for that fight, as was Sosnowski, Johnson, Banks, and Dimitrenko. Hell, I think Arreola even came calling.

But Haye opted instead to stage that farcical fight with Harrison instead of fighting any one of those named contenders who were ready willing and ABLE to make that fight on whatever financial terms Haye insisted upon.

With K2 fans irritation over haye vs Mormeck for the spring, it was more over the fact that all these yrs haye had been calling out the K2, but everytime the fight could get made, Haye would find a way out. The complaints about Mormeck had more to do with Haye not fighting Wlad, but the entire boxing world would have much rather seen a rematch of Haye/Mormeck than the farce of Haye/Harrison.


As countless posters have said in this thread, NO ONE will fight Wlad this year. NO ONE. Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of Harrisons and Briggs and Chisoras who would gladly commit career suicide by taking the date, but Mormeck is seriously the only hlafway credible guy for Wald to face.

I'd rather see Wlad vs Grant IMO, but how well would that play out with the fans since Adamek was able to beat him. The again everyone wants Arreola and Adamek beat CA much more decisively.

Grant does carry that huge R hand, and has good defense, but like the younger Wladimir, has trouble under pressure. He's a big man and he comes to fight. At this point I'd be happy to see either Mormeck or Grant moreso than Ustinov or Boystov. At least Mormeck and Grant have beaten some decent fighters in their day, and only serious punchers(Haye and Bell) have troubled Mormeck.

Whomever he gets in the ring with him is going to be discredited, so really, what the problem? I know.....Haye was take the Mormeck fight if Vitali don't agree to his 50/50 demands.:rofl

 

He would be on fire if he got into the ring with either K2 that's almost for certain.

As for Haye, I wouldn't count el NINO out.....Haye probably decisions him, but if Haye fought like he did vs Barrett or Ruiz, it would be night night for the Hayefaker.

He was clearly shot when he fought Haye, so he is will be even more shot now.

This one has no business going more than 3 or 4 rounds maximum.

 

Even as a fan, I have to admit that this fight is awful. I am sure somebody better than Mormeck could be found.

Most likely this fight will be 6 months removed from Wlad's last fight... and that is much too far apart to be considered a "stay busy" fight. Especially considering that Wlad most likely won't be fighting again for another 6 months. That's an entire year span of his career wasted on fighting Mormeck.

I realize that the Klitschko brothers... especially Wlad, have cleaned out the division for the most part. I also realize that not all of the top guys are available. However, there are plenty of others available, and Wlad doesn't fight often enough to waste time on guys like Mormeck. That's the kind of opponent that I would understand if Wlad was fighting every 3 months.

This is the first Wlad fight that I am not interested in whatsoever. Wlad was just given that HUGE mega event for his last fight. Of course it wasn't the greatest fight due to Haye's unwillingness to fight, however it was a huge stage and a huge win. Wlad needs to capitalize off of that with another exciting opponent. I am disappointed.

 

Would you rather he fought Grant, Lawrence, Ustinov, BOZ, Tiggy, MO, or Mormeck?
Those are the top rated available opponents.

I'd personally rather see Grant....at least like Sandman said about a shot Tua, he's got that punchers chance, and either way, the fight wouldn't end in a decision for either Wlad or Grant. There would be blood one way, the other, or both.

Crap fight but im certain Helenius,Arreola and hopefully Povetkin will be fighting him over the next 18 months or so.
