thats the problem... the guys you have mentioned have all said "NO" for a december fight.... they may step up next year..... im not saying Mormeck is the best, but when guys say "NO" for december, its better then wlad not fighting at all

Both Ali and Lewis have fought much lesser opponents than Mormeck. Hell, Lewis gave Frans Botha a shot at the title after being brutally knocked out by Tyson.

Wlad fighting Mormeck isn't anything against Wlad as a champ. He has consistently fought top fighters over and over again. I am just disappointed as a fan, and hate to see Wlad's prime being wasted. I have never seen a time before where so many top challengers aren't willing to fight the Champ. I guess that goes to show just how dominant Wlad is.

I agree with that... and didn't realize that they all said no. In this case though, I hope that Wlad fights no later than 3 months after his fight with Mormeck. As I stated before... then it's understandable. I just hate to see such long periods between fights... and then the only fight that can be made is Mormeck... then another long period before the next fight.

If Wlad fights every 3 months... then I am more than happy to see him fight someone like Mormeck.

But freakin' Mormeck CHEF, freakin' Mormeck! :bart

Wlad can't do right with that fight.
If he blitzes him, dominates him or stops him late, he will get stick for it.

I think this is likely going to prove true. There's no way either Wlad or Vitali will fight on an undercard but I think it's a shame. This is the type of filler fight I'd love to see them attract new fans with. Go to Paris and fight there, hold it in the Ukraine, fight in South America or Africa or something like that. Just do something to make me think it's not an easy fight that's guaranteed to milk the fans some more. When De La Hoya was winding his career up, everyone hated the Forbes fight but it was free to watch, it was in LA, tickets were cheap and so on, so it became a good thing for the sport.

Mismatches are understandable in a weak division. However, there needs to be some redeeming aspect to this. Either it should promote boxing, it should promote another fighter on the undercard or it should be on the undercard itself. I think the last option is very unlikely, so I hope that K2 can do something - anything - to make this more acceptable. Otherwise, it simply hurts boxing.

I know I know I know..........but once Wlad makes a fight...... to the team, that guy is a danger and we take him very serious...... and thats what we will do

I may not like the match up..... but we will have Wlad 100% READY... Thats my job. NOT matchmaking

If Wlad fights before the end of this year, and again in March... that would be perfectly acceptable. That is the definition of a stay busy fight. Nobody available... smack around someone like Mormeck... fight again in 3 months against a better opponent. I would be alright with that. What would kill me is Mormeck in Dec.... then Wlad fighting again around June-July... then god forbid something happens to him or his opponent in training camp and the fight gets pushed even further.... ect...

Povetkin still saying no? I thought he came out saying he was ready? That would be a great fight for Wlad. Win the WBA... be promoted to "super champ"... Povetkin wins the regular WBA... Wlad immediately knocks him out.

You guys should, there's always that small chance.
I'm sure you will :good But you can tell Wlad how the fans think about this fight (although I think he already knows), and picks a better one next time.

    I will watch it though.
