Firstly, bookmarked...just in case Slug :good

The "Mayweather couldn't even KO the smaller Marquez" argument is irrelevant, Ortiz is not Marquez, Ortiz does not fight like Marquez...but what Ortiz does do is offer more opportunities for him to get himself stopped.

As has been mentioned in this thread, Mayweather hurt Mosley...not badly, but he made Mosley respect his power, not an easy task.

Ortiz's power is arguably more overrated than Mayweather's at the minute. He is being made out to be some knockout artist, when in truth he is not. He is heavy handed, but it is not concussive power...his power is probably as overrated as his ability to finish at the highest level.

And Id add to the argument, Im pretty certain had Floyd wanted to, he'd have stopped Marquez and Mosely. They were both there to be taken by the mid rounds. Floyd elected to showcase his skills than end it earlier.

    Floyd wins this easily too.

Pacquio didn't stop Marquez. No one thinks Floyd Mayweather is a "monster" in the ring when it refers to Koing opponents.

altough i believe that pbf is the biggest fraud in boxing of the last ten years, i think that you are wrong in your assessment.

I had pbf/mosely over and after the ninth round, if pbf wanted to, he could've ko'd mosely just as pac could've.

pbf is smart in that he does not go for ko's as that will leave him open for getting ko'd himself. he may have been able to ko jmm as well.

and he has stated on numerous occassions that they dont pay him more for the ko. regardless...

    PBF is ****.

There are many myths surrounding Mayweather, simply because his fans seem to think he is the best at everything, in a way I've never observed in any other group of fans before. Mayweather fans think he is the best jabber ever, the best bodypuncher ever, the best ever at walking people down, the best ever at fighting off the ropes, the best ever at outboxing, the best ever at pretty much every conceivable facet of boxing. This is what Floyd himself has tried to cultivate in his fans, and he has convinced them of this by strategizing his career to protect his zero whilst avoiding many dangerous challenges which were readily available to him.

People, like me, thnk he can stop Ortiz because Ortiz will come foward and eat counters all day. what you fail to realize is that the last person to actually bring it to Floyd got KO. everybody else didnt come foward and thats n the reason they didnt get KO

I think it will be a TKO because the corner stops it or the Ref does. to many clean punches. Yes Mayweather didnt stop osley but Nazim almost stoped it because he was taking to many clean shots and thats what will happen to Ortiz.

    Mayweather TKO 9

Your a fool!! I'm a Mayweather fan and think nothing of the choice. Mayweather is one the best defensive fighters ever, one of the fastest boxers I ever seen and one of the best counterpunchers I've seen. Now if you think none of the above then your just hater

Floyd has no power at ww. None. He couldn't even ktfo much smaller JMM so what are we talkin about? Dude is great technician but no KO artist. Would love to see him on the stretcher though. Ortiz can do this...but he's no Manny Pac.

Manny Pac would embarass and ktfo Void. :dead
But Void is Void. That fight won't happen. What a shame.
