He could do it in a couple of weeks if he wanted to. Losing weight for a pro athlete is simple.

I guess he don't want to.....he's done well uptil now, but has leveled off at 235 for the last 3 fights.
He needs to step it up, get down to 225, then take on some better opposition.

Of course, He won't...he'll come in at 235 vs Wlad and get spanked.
    :deal

    I know Mormeck isn't the greatest opponent...but really, I don't care.

Why? Well, Wladimir has already been inactive more than he would like over the last couple years...mostly due to Haye, and an injury.

Wladimir wants to stay busy, and multiple fighters have said no to a fight. Instead of just sitting out he takes on whoever will say yes. No problem with that.

This is an absolutely disgraceful fight. No two ways about it.

stay busy fight?? Who is Wlad waiting on? Helenius??

get real. he's fighting him, because he has no other choice. Povetkin is a coward and Arreoa is chockin on a burito somewhere

You could probably list 15, at least 10 more heavyweights who deserve a shot before Mormeck

Deserve.......? I dunno. Has Arreola beaten anyone of Tiggy's or Oquendos caliber? NO.
And the others who have faced stiffer comp and won, are patiently awaiting the retirement of Vitali Klitschko, or are climbing the WBA rankings for a shot at Potvetkin.

It not whether others deserve a fight, but whether they are man enough to make it. Mormecks got nuts, Nipples don't.

mormeck may be ranked 15th. but surely there are over 30 better heavyweights out there?

hell even a chisora fight would be better, despite him coming off a loss.

Oquedo beat Mormeck and it wasn't even close. Disgraceful robbery.

I have not seen Mormeck-Ibragimov but from what I understand it was more of the same.

What a bum for Wlaz a fighter 5'10'' or even less with no power at HW, Klit gonna outjab him, who would want to watch it ****.

Arreola is the only option but then again he will be fighting someone else next, that's for sure. Helenius stated he needs 2-3 fights before title shot.

Ibragimov and Oquendo are nothing but names at this point, when was the last time either of the two won a meaningful fight? And all reports say the Oquendo fight was a robbery and the Ibragimov fight very close. And this guy is supposed to compete with Vlad? A 5'10, 40 year old light heavyweight/cruiserweight?

Doesn't matter if there are 100 who deserve a shot before Mormeck. If they all turn the offers down, and Mormeck doesn't, he gets the fight.
