Arum hasnt put Cotto in with anyone who is a threat to him that is owned by another promoter in the last 4 years.

The thing is, people can say Floyd never fought Cotto, but it is also true that Cotto never fought Floyd either (nor did he ever really seem all that interested in doing so).

Floyd was probly asking for Cotto when TR was trying to have him fight Margo.

....just another one of many duck move versions from Floyd.

Yes, Cotto barely surviving against Shane Mosley and beating Alfonso Gomez made him ready for Floyd. :rofl

So Ortiz beating Berto made him ready for Floyd, but Cotto beating Mosley and Gomez is not enough? :rofl

Arum: "Yesterday I was lying, today I'm telling the truth"

Floyd: "Pacquiao, you're next"....."I never said Pacquiao was next, don't put words in my mouth"

Who to believe?..who to believe? :think

LOL, if what you say is true ( and it isnt but lets say it is) then Arum would be a MORON for putting Cotto in with Margo in a fight that would not have done nearly as well money wise as Cotto-Floyd.

Margo-Cotto did 450,000 PPV buys. How many do you think Cotto-Floyd would have done?

It definetly would have cracked a million, I dare say 1.3-1.4. It would have been BIG!

    Wrong. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2420382

"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

Bob Arum is on record saying he nixed the deal Mayweather was trying to work out with Top Rank. The Oscar fight was especially a big issue as Mayweather wanted that fight, and Bob having bad blood with Oscar, did not want to deliver.

And any version of Floyd would have beaten anyone Cotto has beaten. Or do you think Gomez or Ricardo Torres would have beaten Floyd? :think
