Not as badly as Duran got sparked. Great fighters get caught eventually when they go in tough, it happened to Tzsyu, it can happen to any fighter at any time. It's a tough game.

    Eric got KOed 2x PAC
MAB got totally embarassed and KOed by Pac
MAB get beat 2x by Junior Jones . . . as you say EPIC PBF>>>>>>>JJ
MAB got shout out against Khan . . . in a loss

Versus Pac Eric has one win plus two brutal beat downs, MAB got embarrassed both times and JMM has 1 draw and one close loss which is easily can be disputed (I am huge pac fan and before the scorecards where announced I thought he lost both . . . but was happy they said his name!)

MAB and EM fought three close fights with MAB winning 2, but they were all so close that and people argue to this day which way the fights should have gone (especially the first 2)

JMM when a close but clear win over MAB.

JMM is better by a hair . . . I really do not want to dominish these fighters because I really do like them all

The only reason Marquez has that single draw (that is basically the high point of his resume) is because one of the judges ****ed up the scoring :patsch also the amount he struggled with a close to shot Barrera was very interesting.

How the hell are people going to compare wins over Pacquiao, Morales, Hamed and Barrera to wins over Katsidis, Juan Diaz, shot Casamyor and close to shot Barrera? seriously?

JMM is a considerable distance behind the likes of EM and MAB but i'm not surprised so many people have him above both men since this is the place come the sunday after the Pac Marquez 3 (if it's a close fight or a Marquez win) you'll see the 'JMM vs SRL @145lbs who takes this?' threads.

you are right the only reason why that the first jmm/pac fight was a draw was because there was a mistake on the scorecards, as a pac fan (who was extremely bias that night) I struggled to give Pac more than one round after the knockdowns in thew first.

the display of boxing JMM put on after the first round against Pac in their first fight could only be matched by the skill displayed by MAB in beating Naz.

MAB got his ass spanked by Pac 2x I do not know where you go the "win you are referring to ?

Yes, winning the trilogy v Morales was a great accomplishment . . . but in reality that trilogy was so close it could have been score 3-0 either way (actually MAB did win the last one more clearly), and as we all know Morales is the one true God, but what is more impressive beating god (even if you take the scorecards for what they are) or having god never wanting to face you in the ring

BTW, I know you really did not compare MAB to SRL . . . ahahaha

I think Barrera tops them all. And why do we have to base their boxing careers through Pac?

I suggest you rewatch the fight. There was at least 2 or 3 rounds in their for the Filipino after the opening round.

I thought Erik Morales put on a better display against Manny Pacquiao in their first encounter, outboxing the Filipino and without sustaining multiple knockdowns.

Likewise, JMM has suffered defeats at the hands of lesser fighters in Chris John and Norwood. I'd sooner lose to a top tier talent in Pacquiao than the likes of those two, regardless of circumstance.

So because the fights were razor close it should diminish the achievement? Nonsense. Barrera's two victories over Morales stands head and shoulders above any single win on JMM's resume, and that is precisely why MAB deserves to be held in higher esteem.
