No real buzz about tomorow nights fights from both the hardcore and the regualr sports fun.

For every Mayweather fight from DLH onwards my mates have been texting me the week before to come over and watch it. Only one of my close friends is a boxing fan and he is not that botherd. He is a massive Mayweather fan like me.

I havent seen much about the fury fight either. he was all over the box last time out, mick hennesey has really ****ed up by not getting a decent opponent on board.

are you guys seeing the same thing.

even personally i am not that excited about it.

TBH Rob, until a few minutes ago I'd forgotten about the Fury fight tomorrow. It was only when I was checking the Liverpool card that I saw Fury was also on.

There's no way I'm forking out to watch it. I'm not going to bother staying up to watch it via other means either.

Its not a bad card but a 5:15 start for Mayweather-Ortiz is a bit of killer. I'll probably D/L it Sunday morning and watch it later that night.

Theres not much anticipation cos there not really pick-em fights. Fury will do Firtha early, Mayweather wins on points and Smith will either stop or get a wide ud against Selby.

As someone (I forget who, sorry) said a few weeks back, Mayweather is the kind of fighter you can appreciate and enjoy on a second viewing, but at 5am on a sunday morning he is ruddy boring. Plus you know he's gonna win, and it's not like with Pacman when even though you know he'll win, the chances are it'll be a pretty good fight anyway.

Couldn't give a flying **** about Fury v some scrub. I'm out tomorrow night so I might sky+ it, but that'll be it. Smith and Selby might be alright, but the chanes are it'll be one-sided.

I agree, Ronnie Barker's in danger of screwing this up. He should have got Audley. Hopefully the viewing figures will be good and the fight's a corker. Anything close to 2 million will be excellent for channel 5.

Do you know if Jim Rosenthal is covering the fight.

The quality of guys fighting still make this an exciting weekend.

    Thanks.

I'm not a rugby fan so I've paid very little attention to the world cup.

I am though, a huge fan of Jim Rosenthal. You should use him as much as you can. Jim and Buncey in the studio, Duke commentating and Andy doing the interviews would be perfect. In fact, having those four involved in any capacity would top what SKY could offer.
