Gamboa, the next Manny Pacquiao ???

as much as i like and support Gamboa there is long way to achieve what Pac has done and Gamboa is already hitting 30....i cant see gamboa fighting some huge guys like Margarito.But he can acomplish a complete dominance below 140, thats for sure.

 

you mean become a gambroid! there isnt fighters like morales, barrera, or marquez in those lower weight class anymore so I dont think there is many opposition to give him that title! and he is a ko waiting to happen either way!

 

i dont follow much that multiple champ in so many division: the fact that Pac has been a champ in 8 division is the result of a corrupt boxing organization-catchweights,fighting the weakest champ at 130,etc- what makes Manny great is his ability to box,his speed,power. DLH got handled his title at 160 by beating Sturm-unknown at the time-in a controversial decision-still DLH is a great boxer- and soon will see Morales getting away with a title at 140 by fighting somebody wich last name is Cano.Still,Morales is one of the greatest ever- without that fake belt that he is about to get.
Gamboa doesnt need to emulate Pacman, he only needs to be himself and dominate the divisions he is capable by beating the best of those divisions.Thats what makes you great.

Gamboa is an olympic boxing great and in the professional ranks he will as well. The real

Problem for Gamboa is he doesn't have big name foes to fight against to enhance his resume as Pacquiao did during his ascension to greatness. JuanMa was suppose to be that guy for Gamboa but he has obviously has taken a severe career detour.

 

Gamboa can follow Manny's footsteps but he can't reach what Manny's has achieved. Manny may not be the most technically skilled fighter, but the most gifted and talented... he's the best gift to boxing.
But we'll see, only time will tell. And besides these two boxers have different styles, strategies, etc.
In short, Gamboa has the ability to standout using his own styles and make his name marked on the boxing history, right?
