Actually you're paying about $59.5 (out of the $70 price tag) to Floyd for every PPV buy. That's how expensive to watch Floyd fights nowadays... Floyd must be a rare exotic creature... :D

    59.5 / 70 = 85%

not buying this time....floyd will play it safe as usual, just potshot for a ud, nothing new.

for me, watching this fight on replay will be just as good.

i'm still waiting for the "he will potshot and run" people to show me a few examples

we all know baldo sucked, but, besides that fight, i have never seen him run

of course they will just rabble off some rhetoric and then change the subject

It's a good card in terms of recognizable names, Floyd, Erik Morales and Saul Alvarez but look at the opposition and the odds.

Mayweather at -800 while Ortiz at +500

Alvarez is at -1600 and Gomez is +800

Morales is -700 against Pablo Cesar Cano at +450

Actually the above fights were mismatches and you're paying $70 for 3 mismatch fights. :D

The math is all ******ed. For one, those should be the guaranteed numbers, which is the amount they're getting regardless of the PPV count; I don't know what the split is that they negotiated for the PPV buys, but I doubt its 8% for Ortiz.

Those numbers are all part of the overhead for this event, which still includes site fees, HBO telecasting, promotional and trainer fees, etc etc.
