I don't think he'd win. I think Vitali would catch up with him and stop him late. However Hayes speed and reflexes would make it interesting, So if Haye had a perfect night and Vitali got old and had a poor night, I don't think it's impossible for haye to win. Just unlikely :deal

Honestly, I think Haye had a better shot at Wlad. Wlad has the lesser of chins and Haye couldn't penetrate and tag it hard. Vitali would stop Haye in rounds 9-10 IMO.

Everyone seems to think Haye got dominated by Wlad, the reason wlad won every round was because of Hayes unwillingness to fight but when he did engage he gave Wlad more trouble than anyone has given him since the first Peter fight.

Vitali is a lot more stationary and doesnt feel the need to use footwork to get away from a fighter due to his chin but he can still be cut (I think Johnson managed to cut him in their fight if memory serves right?) and that would be Hayes best chance of winning especially if the fight is in the UK.

In terms of chin Vitali has always either dominated his opponent and his last two fights either went one round (Solis really messed up his chance) or he wasnt hit hard enough to tell (Lets face it Adamek isnt the biggest puncher in the division)

The Haye fight could be very interesting

Yes, I give Haye a shot. And before you begin laughing, read why. Vitali will be coming in with a large chip on his shoulder. He wants to stop Haye, not just beat him. Meaning, Vitali will be very aggressive, maybe even reckless, which also means he will be open to counters. Haye is a very fast HW and has serious power. He's not Adamek, Arreola, Gomez or Solis. He caught Wlad more often, and with harder shots, than anyone has in 5 years. If Vitali comes in looking for a KO, it could result in an explosive fight.

People talk about Haye defense and reflexes could be an issue for Vitali........ if Haye fights the same way as he did against wlad...DEFENSE FIRST.... then yes it will be harder for Vitali to catch Haye.........

But as soon as Haye tries offense, he will have to get close and that when he will get countered and destroyed. Vitali throws punches from all angles and is very unorthodox... will be trouble for david if David actually fights this time

IMO Haye will fight the same way as he did with Wlad..... Take the cash and RUN RUN RUN

Very true. I may be buying into Vitali's talk. He sounds like he wants to fight him like he fought Sanders, toe to toe, rather than how he fought, say, Adamek. If he sticks to the typical Vitali gameplan, Haye's face is pizza by round 8.

Haye only had a slim chance against Wlad because of Wlad's past Chin history but he has absolutely no chance in beating Vitali on points or by a stoppage.

Im a huge K2 fan and maybe one of the bigger Haye critics on here but you know what Haye has as good a chance as anybody

i mean he has intangibles that most other heavies do not

he has speed and power and explosivness his problem is his unwillingness to engage

he cant beat Vitali without throwing because Vitali has a high workrate

Haye however is very predictable in his attack and Wlad made that obvious he jsut didnt make him pay

Haye had a jab early but abandoned it Haye needs to jab and score points he is a 1 punch guy just a wide right h needs more variation

he may be able to out manuever Vitali and ambush him a few times but I could see this as Hide 2
