Rusell hasn't even been in a 10 rounder before. Stop dreaming man.

Love Donaire and perhaps he does deserve to be favored in this potential future matchup considering the experience disparity between the 2 fighters; however, I can easily see GRJ giving him all kinds of problems considering that he's not only the naturally bigger man but is one of only a few fighters who possesses faster hand speed than Nonito.

In fact, if they were to fight tomorrow, my money would be on the underdog Russell to pull off the upset.

Nonito is taller and has a reach advantage, so I don't know if GRJ is "bigger" than Donaire. GRJ looks to be the real thing, but the amount of hype behind him is getting to be a little too much.

I'm a big Russell Jr fan and think the kid has great potential

    <<<<<<<<<<<<

But at the moment he's a prospect, in 3 fights time, he wont be ready to jump in there with Donaire yet. That's not to say he won't be up to beating Donaire after some another 6-7 fights.

It wouldn't even be competitive for Donaire. It would be a first or second round KO.

So far Donaire has brought his power up, the only chance Russell would have is if Donaire couldn't bring his power up because if he does, Russell is going to get counter punched and put to sleep.

He's not faster than Nonito or more powerful. Nonito is big for his weight and it's a miracle he is even able to make weight. He's like a Paul Williams of his weightclass.

An Arum fighter and a Haymon fighter? It will never happen.

Way too soon for that level of fight. If he's moved very aggressively and everything goes without a hitch, Russell is still 4-5 fights from taking on a lower level beltholder. To put him into the ring with Donaire is like leading a lamb to the slaughterhouse. He's got great handspeed, but he still gets hit too much to make me think he'd last vs Donaire. A little too much Meldrick Taylor in him vs Nonito.
