    Watching this live right?

I like Said Ouali. Glad to see him getting some exposure.

2011 has been a very good bounce-back year for Adonis Stevenson, since getting upset in an embarrassing stoppage loss to Darnell Boone in 2010.

The always ultra-fit late-blooking Haitian-Canadian has now rattled off two straight wins over consecutive opponents who for the first time in his life weren't heavy underdogs against him. He has looked dominant against both for as long as they've survived (a combined ten minutes).

It is good to see the setback didn't destroy him psychologically. Physically he clearly has the tools to really build on and work his way back on the path to contention as the sand starts to fill out the bottom of the 33 year old's hourglass.

I like the way Yahoo show the undercard fights, I wish they would do the same thing in the UK. Any1 know how many fights are free on Yahoo?

    Alright!

They're showing Crolla vs. Montiel to kill some time! :happy

We can score along and compare to the judges' verdict.

Edit: N/M! Golden Boy is pulling a "Sky Sports" and picking up in round 3, evidently only showing a few select rounds as filler.

Why does this knucklehead commentator keep calling him "Corolla"?

He's of British manufacture, not Japanese. :deal

Both guys are powerful and chinny, which made it such an exciting match-up.

The difference is that Stevenson (in addition to being a bit sturdier) just has so many more dimensions to his game and a better work rate and finishing instinct.

The PPV starts in about two hours (9pm EST, 2am UK)

    It goes:

    Vargas vs. Lopez
    Morales vs. Cano
    Alvarez vs. Gomez

...and then the main event once those three are done. So probably around 11/11:30pm EST (4am/4:30am UK)

These rounds appear pretty close. I can easily see how this wound up being a split decision, in case the Brits are up in arms about their man not getting fair treatment overseas.

He's just eating too much leather to say he's separating himself too clearly from Montiel, although his work is consistently cleaner.

Cochulito didn't come to lose. He's showing some bravery and a great tank of gas along with heavy hands. Crolla is a much nimbler mover and has the faster and sharper hands. Crolla's corner keep telling him that he's a better boxer and to stay outside but Montiel keeps dragging him into trench warfare.

Wan't Crolla rumored for Morales a while back? How did he end up here and not on the main card fighting Morales?
