Did anyone see if the ref called the action to begin? I know he separated them gave a point to Ortiz, WHile Ortiz hugs MAY, REF was looking down to the judges to remove the point... then all of a sudden Mayweather sucker punches!

WHen did the ref call the action to begin because he was still telling the judges to remove the point.

Anways regardless mayweather was clearly the superior with what we saw, and Ortiz apolgized, was there a need to get him back with a sucker punch? I CAN understand if ORTIZ stayed a dick and didn't apologize but he apologized why would mayweather who was the better fighter with what we saw... why would he win controversially when he could have just put on a clinic?

He is just inviting more hate...

EDIT: Ref Called the Action back, Just checked my DVR he wasn't looking because was calling for time in... 100% LEGAL 100% UNNECESSARY.

. The kid new that he had no chance. He should of been dq'd. Tried to hug and make up. Not good enough. Out cold like he deserved. Ortiz is a punk ass big mouth. He deserves no respect at all. Floyd should of pissed on him after he knocked him out.

I have taped it and Cortez has ALREADY deducted the point, it sounds like he says lets fight and signals the two fighters together.

Ortiz offers a hug mayweather responds but he is ready to fight (you can tell by the way he hugs him, Victors arms go around Floyd and Mayweather hugs him around the shoulders almost in his high guard)

Then BOOM, BANG the rest is history.

Cortez was telling the person to reset the clock it looks like

Ortiz started that **** and Mayweather finished that ****. What Ortiz done was premeditated and he wasnt sorry and Money knew that.Otiz took it to the streets and he was trying to hurt Money with his head. Everybody knew that, After Money knocked his ass out, he wasnt even angry cause he knew he was wrong and he didnt demand a rematch, but to show what kind of man he is Money offered him one and I bet if he takes it, he wont come in there with anymore of that bull**** and will take his schooling like a good boy.:bbb:bbb:bbb

Ortiz put his hands out and told them to continue. Fighters cannot meet in the middle of the ring during a stoppage. It was a legal punch. ***** move, but legal.

Legal punch but a cheap shot = waste of money paying for this pay-per-view.

I head Cortez say "box on" .Ortiz ( the young lion) was inexperience. The older lion took advantage of the situation.Anyway it wouldn't have made much of a difference.Ortiz was going to get KTFO later anyway. He was too slow for Floyd and missing and floyd was sharp offensively and was on point defensively. There is no way the YOUNG LION was going to win.He is too slow.

Ortiz really is as dumb as a tree, why after the first punch, didn't he put his gloves up?

It was legal. Ortiz was as fault. Both of those statements are true, but it was still an unsportsmanlike shot and yet another black mark against the sport of boxing. Mayweather has already made his money, but future generations of boxers may not have the same opportunities as disillusioned fans refuse to pay ridiculous PPV rates for disappointing outcomes.

IMO the reasons are clear. Ortiz was trying to restire his "nice guy" image after that headbutt and at the same time, hoping that Cortez deducts a point from Floyd.
