That's what Dan said on ESPN. I can't say I dissagree with him. Ortiz intentionally headbutted Mayweather, then threw a left hook as the ref tried to break the action. After that he hugged and kissed Mayweather. After Cortez took away a point, Cotrez called time in, Ortiz tried to hug Mayweather again, and got served up a two piece, extra crispy. Fight over. So the round had restarted, Ortiz thought it was hugging time, and Ortiz got knocked out for his efforts. He brought it all on himself.

And I know damn well if it was the other way around, none of you guys that are pissed at Mayweather would be pissed at Ortiz. If you don't believe me, look at the reaction on here after the Dirrell/Abraham fight. Dirrell was clearly hit with an illegal punch and Abraham was rightfully DQ'd. Not surpisingly Dirrell got blasted and everyone accused him of faking it. Now Ortiz gets KO'd by a legal punch, after committing a blatant foul, and everyone blasts Mayweather.

We are always going to win this argument b/c Floyd was going to win anyway. Ortiz was just in the process of punching himself out and he decided to take the low road with that blatant head ram. Floyd was pissed off and no amount of kisses is going to make it up.....lol

The fight did not have to end this way. KO Ortiz man to man. At least make it to where people can see a boxing clinic. It wasn't like Ortiz was pulling a Nate Campbell. I wanted to see more of the fight.

Get the fuk out of here. Why do you think Floyd flipped out on Larry if he was justified? He knew he fuked up and gave boxing it's biggest black eye since Tyson biting Holys ear.
I liked Floyd before tonight as a fighter and respected him and was lookin for him to be the one who takes out Manny. But nobody should fight in that manner. Ortiz was roughin Floyd up like nobody has done in years. Sure, he was probably on the way to losing but Floyd was not liking be touched that much.
Why do you think he pretended to make up and half hugged him nodding his head implying it was ok. Then completely going the coward route knowing Ortiz had his hands down.
You gotta be insane to think that was ok. Ortiz was dirty and shouldn't have pulled that but it wasn't even remotely as serious as Floyd's sucker punch(ES). Floyd is a disgrace and saying his actions were ok, considering he just robbed everyone of a fight they paid for and **** all over boxing as a sport, that's just fuked up.

I agree with Rafael in this instance but I don't respect him.

...And good call on the Dirrell/Abraham fiasco. I feel I know where you are going with that.

I definitely wanted to see more. However, it's all Ortz's fault. He already had said he was sorry and hugged Mayweather. Why did he have to do it again? Why did he look at the ref after he got hit with the first punch? Ortiz should know better.

This is hillarious. Time had been called in, the round had restarted. Your basically blasting Mayweather for hitting a guy during a round of a boxing match. Punching is allowed in boxing. Headbutting is not. The disgrace is the guy broke the rules and tried to hug his opponent during the round, not the guy who hit him with a legal punch. Simply amazing that Mayweather gets blasted for KO'ing a guy with a perfectl legal two piece, after getting blatantly fouled.

Floyd approached it like "Nah, don't kiss me bruh, kiss the canvas. **** (*throws left hook*) You (*throws right hand*)."

Victor's intentional butt is what got him out of this fight. He has quit before and I think after rounds 3 and 4, he was near his threshold of questioning why he should take that kind of beating.

Fight was surreal, but the night was entertaining. Merchant was on point, as his usual self.

Clearly, if the situation was flipped and mayweather was the one who got knocked out after a blatant head butt foul, all the haters would be saying he deserved it. Thats just the way people are unfortunately.

I agree Ortiz deserved it. But what is more classy? Shaking it off and dominating later in the fight? Or how it ended tonight? As a fan of floyd mayweather i expected more from floyd in that square circle. I believe floyd did not want to win in this fashion but he could have done better for himself and his fans. I am dissappointed overall
