when did Rafael become respected? I mean, yeah, I agree... Ortiz can't fight dirty and then complain when Floyd does something that, while not exactly classy, is still legal. That was all Ortiz's own damn fault. but anyway, Rafael is respected? I though he was one of the least respected among the bigger names in boxing journalism? At least going by what a lot of posters say here at least...

Any fool can see that Cortez called for the time to start up and the fight had resumed. Floyd actually hesitated before he knocked Victor out. Floyd was ready to go and Ortiz should have put his gloves up. This is boxing, not a celebrity hugathon. I don't think this gives boxing a black eye. Floyd did what he was paid to do.

I can't say I 'liked' what Floyd did but you can't trust every boxer to be classy and show sportsmanship, which is why they need to stop the apologetic **** and get to fighting. They are there to beat each other up, save the kind words for after the fight.

Plus, Ortiz was asking for it with that illegal blow. And how stupid was it that he gets hit with a shot then decides to look at the ref instead of lifting his guard immediately...
