Marsden is Crollas manager along with several other Gallagher fighters.

I see. Why was Crolla so disrespectful and disobedient then? Surely he'd want to maintain good relations with his manager. (and surely Marsden's advice isn't far off from what Gallagher - or any trainer worth their salt - would have been saying)

It's like a kid who's perfectly well behaved for mum but then as soon as they're alone with auntie on holiday they're a terror. Is Crolla that immature?

Im surprised if it was the case that Crolla didnt listen due to the fact he is often working Gallagher fighters corners when he isnt fighting.

Didn't Marsden used to work the corner with Neil Fanning for Michael Hunter...:think I just thought he was a coach and not a Manager...:think

He would have done better getting a fight over here...:good

I dont mean to be negative but i'd need to say it wasnt a performance that the americans will be saying "eh keep your eye on this kid" is it?

Didn't see Crolla fight, Primetime showed some chap named Corolla :D .
Seriously though, no way was it an SD. Mind you, the judge who scored it to Montiel was female so....

The card in Montiel's favor was excessive, but it was close.

The commentator on the American GBP stream had "Corolla" pitching a shutout, which is just as wrong as scoring it for Montiel.

Close, clear, hard fought win for Crolla. :good

Yeah, must admit i didn't see it as a shutout and Crolla did tire. His defence seems to be pretty solid; didn't seem to take many shots, most landed on gloves and arms.

Impressed me that he took the fight when he has Limond around the corner....as said in a previous thread....he seems 100000 % confident.

Which leads me to wondering as to how he and Joe G decided on it.......as Joe wasnt gonna be there.....did he (Crolla) call the shots ?

Some may say it aint that important but if you are fighting......then you want your trainer there......as he surely knows you best.

    Anyways, fair play to him.

    MON THE 'MOND !!!

Most of Montiel's good work was digs to the body. Upstairs touches were hard to come by due to Crolla's movement. :good

I felt sorry for Crolla to be honest.

Not only did he go to vegas without his trainer, he actually ended up going there on HIS OWN (Marsden came just before the fight apparently). My question is......... Where would Joe G have been if Crolla had of actually been fighting Morales?

All in all, considering he was let down with the Morales fight, flew over there and had to sort all the admin and that out on his own, going on a huge bill in Vegas against a relatively unknown of tough mexican.

IMO only positives can be taken from this.

Chuffed to bits for him, i know how much this ment to him.

Thought he won 7 of the 8 rounds. Good experience

How any1 can comment negatively on Crolla is beyond me.
