The guy decided to turn Billy goat middle of the round, breaking the rules in the process and then got knocked out legitimately.

Cortez had clapped his hands to continue the fight.
Stepped back and looked at time keeper.
Ortiz wanted a hug because he knew mayweather was now gonna son him.
He got a left hook while looking at Cortez
Straight right hand ****ed him over.
Oh well he should have put his hands up.

 

I hate Cortez. Not even for this particular fight, but every fight I've seen him ref.

Did anyone else hear how loudly and proudly he said his stupid ****ing "fair but firm" line tonight? A referee shouldn't have a "please notice me" catchphrase. Aside from that, I noticed each boxer backed into him at least once during the 4 rounds because Cortez is a bumbling dip****.

Ban him from boxing.

Its obvious that the pre fight dressing room chats are so Mayweather and his team can give Joe the script.

 

That is a good point. There is no way Cortez even knew if it was a legal punch in the first place. For all he knew Mayweather could have nutted him. You cant count a knockdown you didn't see.

What excatly did Cortez do wrong to affect the outcome of the fight. People seem to think that him looking away means something. It doesnt. He had called time in. The fighters, were free to punch. Mayweather threw a left hook. Ortiz inexplicably starts looking at Cortex after he gets hit by a legal punch and gets KOed

 

If the punch wasn't legal then I could see your complaint, but it was in fact in a legal punch that put Ortiz for 10 secs. What is your problem.
