Even if it was by the rules, it was dirty and we all know it.

This was in reality no better than James Butlers cheap shot against Richard Grant.

Floyd gets away with something real dirty. Ortiz wasn't getting to him either way, but that does not belong in the ring, he should of just denied Victor's apology, then got it on.. not fake accepting his apology and in the very next moment clip him on the chin, not once.. but twice!

Oh and Larry Merchant is the ****ing man.

I'm not crying for Ortiz, his headbutt was nasty, but two wrongs don't make it right.

It wasn't cheap. Ther ref said lets go and that is what Mayweather did. So what if Victor would have landed that left hand he threw after the headbutt and knocked Floyd out? People would have been cheering their asses off. The ref said let sgo and thats all there is to it. This is not th e****ing girls scouts.

Exactly, its a little thing called etiquette.

It's like in poker when someone slow-rolls you when you're all-in. There is no rule against it but its absolutely classless.

Dude, Mayweather's wasn't a wrong. Sure, it was unsportsmanlike, but it was still legal. Unlike Ortiz' headbutt, which was clearly illegal.

If you wanna' put the blame on someone, put it on Cortez, who, after the 20 years of experience, didn't know he had to signal time before calling them into fight. Silly prat.

I just didn't like the way he seemingly accepted the apology but obviously still wanted to get Ortiz back, I don't think he meant to knock out Ortiz, Ortiz was very chinny

    Absolutely.

Some may say "Oh, Ortiz threw the first illegal thing, so Floyd retaliated, what?"
Or even, Floyd did it by the book.

This is a bit extreme, but exactly how would people feel about this one sequence had Floyd crippled/killed Ortiz with the same kind of punches?

Yes its extreme, but it puts things into perspective, it was by the book but it was CLEARLY, BLATANTLY UGLY!

Its not the same thing. The ref said lets go and that's what Floyd did. This is boxing and since when did it become a gentlemans sport?

People are only pissed off that feather fisted mayweather was able to KO ortiz with a straight right hand. Mosley ate that same combo for fun when they touched gloves.
