Exactly... and Floyd's act was every bit as much out of frustration as Ortiz' was... Victor has just landed a nice short right hand and a left hook to drive Mayweather into the ropes before the headbutt... Floyd wasn't used to a big, heavy fighter pushing in on him like that.

But yeah, what the **** was Ortiz thinking with that headbutt... jesus :-(

 

Ortiz could have cut Floyd with that headbutt and caused his vision to be screwed up. I wish the fight would have been longer but the ref said "LETS GO" and Floyd did.

 

Yep, that's what I thought, too. It was exactly what he did to Mosley. He was just planning on popping him in the mouth, and that's it. I'm pretty sure he was as surprised as anyone to see Ortiz fall on the floor like a sack of ****.

 

Ortiz is a fool for not protecting himself. He took the left yet and still didn't defend himself. Seriously, what was he thinking?

 

i can't figure out if ortiz' chin was just that bad or for some reason he was faking it. he gets paid anyway and 2 clean punches are all he had to take.

 

He did the same thing to mosley, ortiz should do his homework, it wasn't dirty, it was unsportsmanlike. Dirty is what ortiz was continually doing with his head.

 

I don't think it was cheap at all. Floyd capitalized on Victor's lack of ring intelligence.

 

He probably didn't hear Cortez say box on and maybe he was looking for Mayweather to get DQ'ed and have a point deducted.

 

How is it dirty when the ref said let's go? Floyd had already touched gloves with Ortiz and they hugged.

 

I've rewatched it since, Mayweather wasn't even planted for the right hand...it hit Ortiz pretty flush on the chin whilst he weren't looking, but I expected him to get up.

 

So was Ortiz intentionally headbutting not a thug move? When a thug comes for you, you have to get thugged out on their ass to survive. This is boxing not dancing with the stars. "LETS GO" That means fight.
