And Floyd has none of it. Floyd just **** all over boxing by taking out a fighter that was in the middle of apologizing, and don't play like Floyd wasn't PRETENDING to forgive Ortiz.
Don't pretend Floyd didn't see he had a free suckepunch and jumped all over it. Yea it was all legal, but it was the dirtiest way I've ever seen a boxing match won in the 20 years I've been watching boxing.
Floyd just stole every paying fans dollar taking advantage of a fighter's hands being down because the fighting was in the middle of asking him for forgiveness. Don't pretend Floyd was playing along just to set him up for that cowardly act.
Floyd won the fight but Floyd has zero class and zero respect for anyone.

BTW, if you think Floyd thinks what he did was right, then why did he flip on Larry when Larry put him on the spot!?
Floyd took the ***** way out of the fight and the interview.

how many times did he have to apologize for an intentional head butt before the fight could continue? did he want to kiss again?

fact is, if ortiz never threw that intentional butt (wasn't the fist of the fight either) he would have never been in the position he was in

Sorry but **** ortiz. He's more to blame for ruining the night rather than Floyd. That headbutt was bull****.

theres a little thing called ortiz ****ing head butted and got what he deserved

ortiz is in the biggest fight of his life getting his biggest check ever and he loses cause he wants a hug

if i head butted floyd mayweather jr the last thing i would do is put my hands down

and ortiz did his home work right, did he watch the gatti fight, if you look at the ref and let your guard down your hitting the deck

ortiz shoulda put his hands up after the left because he had plenty of time to do so before the right

It all happened in like 2 seconds. After Ortiz embraced Floyd for the 112th time after the fight was resuming his immediate response should be to get ready to fight again.

It's instant fighter reaction, how did he know Ortiz was gonna be completely oblivious to those punches.

I'd swear it was a completely fixed fight in which Floyd orchestrated the headbutt and Ortiz's stupid concentration lapse if I just read all you idiot's comments.

    300. They lost with honor and Leonidas is still remembered 2500 years later.

    I thought this quote would fit well in this thread. Somethin a friend of mine wrote;

"The days of chivalry are over, and those of us who hold onto the protocols of politeness are rightfully due a sad wake up call. Reality will check us who hang onto the old school, but in the end we all will suffer. I'm reminded of a great scene from the movie Troy, during the duel of Hector and Achilles. At one point during the duel the brave Hector trips over a stone.

"Get up, Prince of Troy. Get up! I won't let a stone take my glory!" says Achilles.

In it was respect for the fighter, and respect for the fight. Is this what we call sportsmanship? One could argue that Hector was bound to fall regardless of his misstep. So then why would Achilles grant Hector the space to stand up? The end was not changed, Hector would fall.

Sportsmanship. Respect. Glory. Honor. Pride. These things go hand in hand.

Mayweather won the fight, but he lost everything else. He has no sportsmanship. He has no respect. He has no glory. He has no honor. He has no pride. He has nothing, but in today's age nothing means a lot more than it used to. There was a time when nothing only meant something when you kept your pride, nowadays it's the opposite. He may have won but he'll never be a champion."

Victor doesn't claim he wants to clean up the sport...or that he's "better than Robinson"...someone a hell of a lot worse than Robinson beat Ortiz fighting completely cleanly...so why does "the greatest fighter ever" need to resort to cheap tactics against a pretty poor opponent? Ortiz needs to resorted to cheap tactics because he's not good enough...
