As much as people dislike what Floyd did ..Give him credit for his killer instinct ! I was impressed by the way he responded to the head butt ..Protect your self at all times is the OLDEST rule in the book ..And what he did to Ortiz was the Oldest trick in the book !

You touch gloves after a foul in the ameteurs not the PROS ! As it was mentioned before in the Mosley fight he did something similar after Mosley was trying to play nice ..

This is the hurt business not a social network ! Ortiz will certainly grow from this .Oh and props to Merchant who I never knew had a Killer Instinct as well .

    Discuss !

Mayweather was probably going to win the fight anyway, but you agreeing with this makes you a sad person...

    It was a sucker punch...

Was it within the rules... Yes...

But it was it right...? I think that's easy to figure out. You don't worship every move that a man makes. I mean, what's next, he ****s your girl, and this would be your response...

"I should have been with my girl 24/7. I ain't my fault Mayweather ****ed her. ****, maybe he **** every girl I'm with. It's cool...I still eat the *****..."

No, there should be a line between petty thuggery and boxing. Floyd crossed that line. Just because Ortiz does something stupid, you don't retaliate with a sucker punch, because you just make the situation even worse.

You can have killer instinct without resorting to cheap shots. Pac has displayed killer instinct in the past, but I can't imagine him ever attacking someone who is looking at the referee, completely unprepared. Why would anyone want to win in that way? Sugar Ray Leonard had great killer instinct when he had guys hurt, but I can't imagine him doing what Floyd did either. The list is endless. Floyd, for all his admittedly superb skill, is a stain on the sport.

    Killer instinct?

Killer instinct in boxing is when you're quick, efficient and ruthless in finishing off an opponent when you have him hurt. That's not what Mayweather did last night. He sucker-punched (can't blame him for it) and surprised himself as much as anyone when Ortiz got knocked the **** out because of it.

Well look at this way ..Most people if they get fouled retaliate ..Im almost 100 % certain that most people if put in that situation would have retaliated in some way ..Maybe not in the manner that Floyd did but there would be retaliation ..Blame has to go to the the corner as well .

And beleive me I don't worship Floyd I wanted him to get knocked out in the fight but after Ortiz gave him that head butt **** all bets were off . Had Floyd been seriously injured from the Butt I wonder how people's reaction would have been .

So lets take all the facts into consideration before we label one guy cheap when there were 2 fouls committed !

    I kind of agree.

I'll take this sucker punching over the Pac Mosley touching gloves bull**** any day.

Hopefully he will show this killer instinct against Pacquiao. That's what boxing needs.

PBF didn't want to touch gloves all night long like Pac and Mosley did in their fight. He meant business and had a point to prove. He walked down and backed up the bigger man taking the fight to him. Brilliant performance by PBF.
