The two punches Mayweather landed were legal but cheap. There is no question about it. You people are acting like Mayweather did this out of nowhere. Ortiz was the cheap one first with TWO headbutts! It was a retaliation that was well deserved. Ortiz would have never been in that situation to get caught off guard like that if he didn't deliver those illegal shots. Bad fight for boxing, but this is Ortiz's fault.

Floyd looked genuinely pissed off after the headbutt and I don't blame him

This fight adds nothing to his legacy, just his bank balance.

Ortiz asked for that type of fight and Floyd obliged. Still sucks the fight ended that way, next time I'll just make my check out to Mayweather before hand. In the end it doesn't mean ****. Floyd will be Floyd and people will still pay to see his fights. Myself included..

Nope but it makes them even in a dirty game.

I guess people just expected more class in this sport or at least more class from the seasoned fighter.

However, if Ortiz would've just boxed, so would've Floyd.

You have to know when you fight floyd that he'll take every advantage he can. Its a very common thing that he does, the most notable other time being against Gatti. He's just always switched on to a mode where if he sees you aren't expecting something he'll take advantage of it. I think it was a legal shot and part of me thinks that Ortiz got his for that ugly ass head butt. However from a fight fan's perspective its too bad cause the fight was starting to look like it was going to be a very good one. Ortiz has real skills and was starting to figure somethings out. I think he would have made it a very competitive fight before probably getting stopped late but we'll never know now.

I was disgusted at Ortiz for starting it (what a weak minded fool), at Cortez for continuing to be the worst ref ever, and Floyd for cheapshoting Ortiz.

I wanted Floyd to KTFO of Ortiz after the headbutt while Ortiz was trying to fight, not by a sucker punch.

Sucker punches are for cowards. Just solidifies my belief that Floyd wants no part of Pac.

    ****ing coward.

I prefer an "eye for an eye", rather than "2 wrongs don't make a right"
