a punch like that is designed to slide parts of the skull into the spine. if you miss it, it will short circuit and drop a person. its science. its just the way it goes. if arms are down , attention elsewhere; it can drop a person like a sack of potatoes. ortiz was not unconcious. his body was going through a natural effect.
He was out cold, shane took a right like that against floyd and just kept fighting. Ortiz's has been down many a time. GLASS :deal
Yeah, no ****. What more evidence do these deniers need? Other fighters took flush shots from Mayweather and kept coming. Other fighters have gotten hit with shots they didn't see and gotten up. Ortiz didn't? What's the difference. His CHIN you nincompoops!atsch
Exactly. And a fighter who had a good chin WOULD have gotten up. Ortiz's chin is glass, therefore he couldn't get up.:yep
Zak, what do you think Dempsey/LaMotta/Durans/Prime Larry Merchants responses would be to those ugly cheap shots? Would they stomp Floyd and his crew out on spot?
Any of those guys would have taken those shots and come right back and tried their best to kick Mayweather's ass. Now, they probably would have gotten beaten up doing it, but at least they would have the WHISKERS to take the shots and get up. Mayweather doesn't hit that hard, yet he knocked Ortiz the **** out. Ortiz's lack of punch resistance is CLEARLY the reason this fight ended early.
Yup, no doubt, he's a Glass Jawed Fraud and a Glass Hearted disgrace just like I've been saying for the longest time and Floyd irrefutably proved that point last night. When Money was landing almost all of his power punches and pot shotting that China Chinned Chump at will you could see Ortiz's fragile Glass Heart shatter, enough to make him throw a painfully obvious intentional butt, and then Floyd shattered that Glass Jaw for his insolence.
Ortiz was not even looking when the second punch was thrown. He didn't see it coming. Not only that, but the right hand landed on the right side of Ortiz's jaw, which twists the head even further back in an unnatural direction, unlike lefts landing on the right side and rights landing on the left side of the jaw. His chin was never the best, but there are a lot of things in the world with a density between that of china and iron.
Yeah, it was proven last night. Ortiz's punch resistance is minimal. If he could take a punch well, he would have gotten up. It's as simple as that.
There is NO question that, off of this performance, Ortiz deserves a high place on the glass jaw rankings. He might even rank above the Khan-man right now.
