All of the above, and then some.

Biased chumps won't acknowledge truth. When Floyd puts his head on the pillow at night he knows what he did.

****ing ****** ass thug, he didn't have to do that but he did, like a chump.

They touched gloves, Ortiz went for the hug, Mayweather put his gloves up, backed up ever so slightly then threw the left hook.

Anyone can resort to insults you ****ing idiot...see? :-(

The round had restarted and Mayweather clearly put his hands up in a fighting position. It' not his job to make sure Ortiz is ready. If you want to call it a cheap shot, go ahead. However, it was perfectly legal and Ortiz has no one to blame but himself.

The thing is, everyone knows Floyd is an ******* and the type of person to do something like this. Ortiz should have known better, he really showed just how immature and mentally weak he was last night. As far as it goes for Mayweather, I never gave ortiz a chance against him. May could have won in dominating fashion but instead took the easy way out, thats on him. I would much rather have seen Maywaether get payback for the head butt by ripping ortiz up and Koing him in a legit way.

Ortiz should have cam forward hands, up ready to go. When the ref signals fights, its up to the fighter to be prepared to defend hisself.

It was a cheap shot/sucker punch, but WAS legal, cortez did give the order although not very clearly to fight on.

Dont have a clue what he was doing while punched were thrown. He could've been butted and cortez would never have known.

The whole Merchent thing at the end was totally staged.

People seem to forget that all of this was purposely started by Ortiz. He started the headbutt and obviously regreted it.

Some folks are just upset because Floyd beat him in his dirty game.

It sucked as a PPV fight and neither fighter acted like a world champion. Just stick to the complete facts.

this probably would have never happened if ortiz did not flagrantly headbutt pbf, draw blood and create a cut.

    ortiz started it.

    pbf finished.

kudos to pbf for setting this **** straight. you cheap shot me and ill cheap shot your ass back.

i cant believe anyone would even try to say that ortiz did not deserve this.

Mayweather kept his hands up the whole time. He had his hands up when Ortiz tried to embrace him. He didn't reciprocate. This is a fight. Ortiz has no one to blame but himself.

The punch was cheap, but Ortiz got what he deserved. If it had happened under different circumstances I wouldn't condone it. Ortiz is a mentally weak fighter, and I think the foul he gave Mayweather was much worse. He ****in jumped up in the air to head butt his opponent, why is no one out raged by that? Come on guys, I can agree that mayweather's move was wrong, but don't try to make Ortiz an innocent victim.

Evidence is in the replay (Slow Motion)
Everybody asking whats Joe Cortez looking at, well he is looking at the time keeper telling him to start the clock, by that time Floyd had already nailed Ortiz....

The round did not restart, Cortez knows this, which is why he is covering his ass right now saying he did call time in, he is half right cus he did, but Floyd still hit him before the clock started.

In the amateurs you're told to protect yourselfs at all times, so Ortiz made an amateur mistake. Also to make it worse for Ortiz to do what he did knowing what floyd did in the shane situation in the fight previous.

Ortiz was a fool. Even when the left hook landed he didn't even try to defend himself, all he did was look at the ref. Very stupid.

I agree. The fans are the ones who were cheated as well. Well, unless you live up Floyd's ass like his floydettes, then it's a GREAT win worth celebrating! But the truth is, it was ugly and turned into a typical floyd situation.

He was. Ortiz ****ed up. But that doesn't change the fact that Floyd still won via suckerpunch.
