Sky Bet's Kevin O'Leary said: "We decided to refund losing bets on Ortiz to win the fight as we felt his backers were hard done by given the nature of Mayweather Jr's sucker punches, with Ortiz seemingly unprepared to restart the fight."

A £3.50 Refund wont hurt the Sky kitty too much.

It's just a cheap bit of marketing. There can't have been much money on Ortiz outright.

Sweet. I had a handicap bet. Mayweather to win via stoppage 8-12 or on points. I also had a Mayweather outright bet, which I won. So I made money last night. :D (Not much though)

My mistake. I breezed through it. Thought all losing bets were to be refunded, didn't realise it was losing bets on Ortiz. :patsch

I don't think they'll be forking out too much as I don't think there were too many people silly enough to bet on Ortiz.

I put a quid on, I recieved a free pound bet today, couldn't work out why i'd got it. So they aren't exactly giving cash back, more free bets.

    WTF? That's ridiculous. Completely undeserved.

It was a clear loss for Ortiz.

    It's just a publicity stunt/marketing ploy.

It's nothing to do with whether it's deserved.
