Agreed, Larry has balls the size of grapefruits to say what he did to Floyd last night. I'm a huge Mayweather fan, but it's hard to deny that Merchant didnt win that war of words.

Larry doesn't have balls to say that **** to Floyd, if he said that **** to mid-90s Mike Tyson or James Toney that might show balls.

Larry Merchant is a joke and has been for quite along time. He hates all time greats like Hopkins and PBF but loves brawlers and sluggers who couldn't carry their spit buckets **** him PBF roasted his ass last night.

Larry Merchant, simply put, is no different from any other Floyd hating, Pac-nut-hugger in the general forum!!!

Floyd did nothing wrong and everyone knows it but Merchant was quite clearly trying to **** all over him. What a biased *****! Floyd wont speak to him again... guaranteed!!! :deal

When your 80 years old and are willing to step up to a young bull and say what he did. I dont know, thats pretty ballsy to me. Do you see that *** kellerman having the balls to call Mayweather out like that?

Toney was already put on blast by Jim Gray a few years back. Not to mention Tyson and Merchant having words back in 1990 before Tyson went to Showtime. Tyson never liked Merchant, and made it pretty clear in the early 90's

There was no calling anyone out, and there is a difference between calling a genuinely nice guy like Floyd out and talking **** to a person you know will beat the **** out of you.

Floyd isn't a young bull, is very mannerable and would never hit Larry, larry knows that. That is why he said what he said.

It is the same reason Larry wrote that disrespectful **** about Sonny Liston but never went to his face to talk to him.

Larry Merchant is a cowardly piece of **** writer/journalist.

Larry was the smallest, meanest, roughest-toughest high-school football player in N.Y. Got a scholarship to Oklahoma, the biggest powerhouse in the nation. Scratch the surface -- even at 80 -- he's a junk yard dog.

I'm no floyd fan but when a fighter wins a championship it is them that We want to hear, not some side show interviewer. Once the winner of a bout has said their peace than and only than should questions be posed. Larry has been interrupting fighters forever when they want to give there shoutouts/thanks. If anything he is quite disrespectful of the Men in the Arena.

That said Mayweather is also very defensive of any questioning of his tactics, strategies, or future fight plans. He recently post ortiz interview admitted that he was waiting for the smaller pac to get old. Something like "when I fight the little dude people will say he was too small and too old" ie; fruedian slip as that is what he is hoping that father time will catch up to pac before himself. Floyd don't want none of a live Pac.

Playing football has nothing to do with whether a man is a coward and Merchant has always been one. He talks a lot of **** ringside and in the papers, **** he would never say to the fighters he despises the most.

I would love to see him and Toney.

You'd love to see Toney get into a 80 year old man's face? I didn't hear anything that Merchant said last night that deserved Mayweather's low class response :-(
