That point does seem to be getting lost behind the smokescreen of whether the KO was "legitimate". (or a "fix" atsch). Once you get beyond the question of it being a cheap shot, and just look at the actual pair of punches and how they were placed and how Ortiz reacted - it really truly is one of the more authoritative and prettiest knockouts of 2011.

That wasn't ruled an official KO like the Floyd-Ortiz fight. Find a better example to show what you're trying to prove.
lol saw that coming. And I'm a hater . I was using sarcasm and implying it was a suckerpunch and should not be given honors of a KO of the year. Even if you feel it was not a suckerpunch, the vast majority do and it would not be wise to make it the best KO of the year.

Funny thread. Obviously, it wasn't shining moment for Mayweather, but I don't judge him too harshly for it, either. That was one of the most flagrant butts I've seen in quite awhile.
I've would have loved to see Floyd KTFO Ortiz after that headbutt, while Ortiz was trying to fight, not by sucker punch. Sucker punches are for cowards. :deal
