To those who say it wasn't a cheap shot... Wrong!

Actually, this isn't entirely true. The hook that Floyd landed may well have been cheap (though legal). But Ortiz wasn't knocked down by that punch.

He was put down by the right hand that followed, and there was enough time between those two punches for him to do something aside from stare blankly at Cortez with a "OMG WTF, aren't you gonna do something about this...!?" expression on his face. He could have raised his hands to defend, or lunged forward to smother (...and headbutt:D). Instead, he suffered a monumental lapse in focus, and was kayoed as a result.

They already hugged, kissed whatever. Victor wanted to hug again Floyd was like yea ok has his hands up. Victor wants to hug again Floyd taps his again "ok" with his hands up and tags him.

I'd like to see you get hit by that first shot and then see you react before getting hit by the second one... How much time do you think there was between the two punches? He got sucker punched and didn't have time to react to the 2nd... As simple as that.

What was clear is that Ortiz was not in fighting mode. He was not in fighting mode because Mayweather did not come at him aggressively, he came under false pretense of passivity/touching gloves. That's why Ortiz was surprised by the sucker punch and got knocked out.

That's the cowardly act, pretending not wanting to fight, wanting to touch glove, and punching the other guy while the other guy is not expecting it.

No I'm critisizing him because he pretended to want to touch gloves, and then suckered punched him. :nut

It was a cheap shot. Ortiz was a joke for falling for it, Fraud is a coward and used this trick before, but it was still a sucker punch.

Ortiz got suckered punched! Fraud walked towards him like he wanted to touch gloves, Ortiz was more than willing, then bang, Fraud punched him when he wasn't expecting it. Hence, sucker punch.

Fraud could have easily waited 1-2s for Ortiz to get his hands ups, but he didn't, he saw the chance to punch him while he was defenseless, and took it. Congrats. It worked. Fight over. But don't ****ing tell me it wasn't a cheap shot. He sucker punched the guy.

Yeah Fraud never backed away... He never did, if anything, he got set to punch which might have have shifted his body 1-2 inches behind... Not sure what some people are smoking...

No, have you ever seen boxers touching gloves? Do you understand the concept? It's not a chance for one boxer to try to KO the guy while the other guy isn't trying to box, it's a show of respect, sportsmanship, in this case, Ortiz was trying to apologize. Yeah, it was dumb, but in the end, Fraud took advantage of the situation and punched him while he wasn't expecting it. Fraud himself created this situation by faking the touching gloves and sucker punching him instead.

The problem is not Floyd. The ref is supposed to be there watching the touching of gloves. If he was this wouldn't have happened. The ref would have broken the hugging attempt as it happened after touching gloves. What is at fault? Ortiz is a ****en idiot, no doubt about it. Add this to Cortez being in la la land at a very important moment. From the moment he waves them forward it's on and his job is to keep eyes on them.

Floyd just got brutally head butted on purpose and he's supposed to not be pissed? That was such an ugly foul I was rooting for Ortiz and then thought Disqualify that *******. Of course, Floyd was coming for payback. What was Ortiz ****en thinking trying to be a niceguy after doing what he did? Ortiz didn't want to get DQ'd, he realized what he did and was trying to paint it pretty. He wasn't a nice guy in that situation, he was trying to do damage control.

Actually if you look at Floyd he comes in with his guard up, looks confused when Ortiz tries to hug him and lowers guard slightly but doesn't hug back, then his face changes to anger. Floyd was in fight mode from beginning to end. The weird ****er there is Ortiz.
