Why isn't Floyd the greatest... he's undefeated.

I don't get it. This isn't coming from a ridin' standpoint but why isn't he?

Erik Morales beat Pac Man, he's not undefeated.

So sad that people look at Floyd's club escapades and try to bring them into his ring exploits. The dude is THE BEST I've seen in the ring... No Damage after 42 pro fights...

i can see that POV if you havent been watching boxing for a long time or if you havent seen past fighters in the ring.

He may be one of the most skilled fighters in the ring but he is certainly not the greatest ever. thats not even up for discussion

Well it's all opinion right, I'm not trolling. I just don't see the reason not to give it up to the dude.

Shane Moseley was quitting on the stool... Winky Wright stomped his ass 2xs and so did Vernon Forrest... I bet everybody still holds Shane in high regard. Look at De La Hoya, beating up an old Chavez and getting dropped by B Hop Floyd, Pac Man ... and somehow they're legends.

BHop, Roy, Iron Mike, Duran, Holmes, Ali, big names you can say nothing bad about... none of them undefeated though. Floyd takes titles for his trophy case but gets no respect for doing so.

Marquez and them fight Baby Bull, get knocked down 3x's in one round. Get STOMPED by Floyd... Floyd can't get props though. Pac Man is afraid of needles and beats Clottey and the excuse is that Clottey had the shitz and Cotto and Margarito... Floyd destroys the dude that destroyed Margarito... no credit.

I'm getting off track. Just watch Ortiz headbutting. Ortiz should be at the Berto, Callazo level. He got a gift pay day with this fight.

no1 said floyd isnt a legend. your claiming hes the greatest of all time. Floyd is greater than mosley, de la hoya and winky wright. Chavez was 89-0 when he first lost. 89-0! floyd has quite a way to go to match that.

undefeated doesnt mean **** when will you get that through your head? why doesnt that make calzaghe greater than floyd then! hes undefeated and has more wins! its about WHO u fight. you cant even compare those resume's to floyd. Duran fought the best of the best, mostly above his natural weight. Ali fought in the greatest heavyweight era. B Hop has incredible longevity.

dont even know wtf that means. i agree ortiz belongs nowhere near this level and was schooled by floyd. your claiming floyd is the greatest of all time. based on what?! the fact that hes undefeated?! thats the shittest argument of all time

Can't even be bothered to dispute that list. Larry Holmes tore Ali a new azz.

Roberto Duran quit and is famous for it....

I should've read the other threads, there's one that has this info already.

That shitty list you posted means you've been watching HBO documentaries instead of watching boxing.

    Duran, lol.

Ali was shot and look at him now... look at Floyd now. Ali talked as much shat as Floyd... only Floyd doesn't take punishment like a fool. Foreman was wailing on nat azz.

I bet you think the best rappers are Biggie, Jay Z and Pac.

Advice to you... use your own phuckin' brain.

And Lennox Lewis was the GREATEST HW EVER! I tell it like it is. A ready Lennox Lewis wouldn't stomped Foreman in his prime, Frazier, Ali... all of 'em.

just because the film is black and white... doesn't make the boxers better.

You some dumb mf's, lol. Boxing NOW is about making money, not trying to become brain dead and have ES Boxing forum give you props.

25 mil consistently > of all time.

You take the fame and title, I'll take the money and no damage and beating inexperienced kids that like to use their head but don't have anything in their head on HBO.

Victor Ortiz is a surfer. Berto has been B level his entire career. Bradley is above all the mf's around that weight because he will fight. I'm on my soap box. Call me names but there's no hate here. Enjoy the vid.

One of those fights was stopped too soon last night. Oh Gomez. That was BS.

I was actually surprised it took as long as it did for Floyd to throw those shots.

You are stupid, there were 2 scenarios. Ortiz delivered an intentional headbutt and paid for it by getting his reputation tarnished, getting booed and being deducted a point. The other one was Floyd KOing Ortiz when Ortiz is saying sorry/apologizing to Floyd. It's not a ****ing question about legitimacy because we all know that the punch was "LEGIT".

What Floyd did was technically legit but morally wrong. That's why he is hated for it. THIS IS A SEPARATE ISSUE, The intentional butt is another thing. Don't relate the 2 things. Yes, you could say that Floyd did that because he wan't to get back at Ortiz. But 2 wrongs don't make a right. For a guy who has been pushing fighter safety to deliver a sucker punch like that. How Ironic could it be.

You should watch poker tournaments and not "FIGHTING"

What was morally wrong in a fight... is trying to kiss a man and apologize 3x's in a row for getting caught after you've been warned and had a point deducted. (WTF was Victor going to do if the fight has lasted longer... fool would've been the new Gerald McClellan)

I bet you have no gag reflex.
