I think that Ortiz knew how bad he was getting beat, which is why he resorted to the headbutt. Ortiz WAS trying when Floyd was on the ropes, I'll give him that; but he missed most of those punches. His final punch stat numbers were around 26, right?

He just knew there was no chance. I wouldn't say he has a glass chin, though getting KD by Berto is just sad, he knew that he had know chance at all. Mayweather would beat him on scores, and the fact that he could barely hit him in 4 rounds, along with getting a right to the face all night, probably put his spirits down a bit.

To be honest Mayweather did the same thing to Mosley and he ate it up like it was love tap. it was Ortiz fault for looking away after being hit with the left, a punch he saw coming. This is the first time I will agree with Zakman. If he had a chin no question he would've took that shot. Both mosley AND Gatti went through a similar thing with Floyd, and they didn't get KO'd, in fact Gatti took a MUCH MORE devastating LEAPING left hook. Yeah he went down for a second, but got right up and was good to go. Ortiz had Floyd by like 15-16 pounds too. There is no excuse.

 

Was shocked to see him hurt so much by that punch. was shocked he didnt get back up.

that headbutt was a Fight night headbutt havent seen anaything that obvious since Andrew Golotas low blows and Tysons ear biting.
