What was Ortiz thinking? Cortez clearly says "Let's go" while Oritz thinks this is a hugfest? Floyd might have his faults, but not this time, protect yourself at all times is the referee's instructions. It is not Joe Cortez's fault if Victor Ortiz is a dimwit!

    Lost?

I've seen more people talking about this fight then many in years, even people that I know that don't watch boxing at all. Maybe Ortiz will think again before throwing headbutts in every clinch.

Mayweather as well as any boxer in his shoes should have done exactaly what he did.
The ref instructed them to resume fighting. Ortiz allready apoligized twice before. If you watch the knockout. Mayweather really dosent do any thin dirty or cheep. They acatully do hug again. How many times do they need to hug? Rember they have already been told to start fighting. Mayweather takes a step back. If you watch he dose not push Ortiz. Sees Ortiz who is looking at him not the refree has his hands down. He dose exactaly what you should do when your oppoent has his hands down. He hit him. Victor Ortiz has only himself to blame for not protecting himself at all times.

Dumber? You ever even been in the ring you ********?

Ortiz headbutted Mayweather at least 4 times intentionally during that match. Watch it again.

The fans were robbed of a proper finish. Ortiz's headbutts don't excuse a win via suckerpunch, and that's what it was. A win via suckerpunch. Nothing, not the biggest excuse changes that fact. Wow...good legacy win!!

I see a lot of my friends who enjoy boxing talking about it too. You know what they are saying? That this is the last time that they buy a boxing PPV.

Then again... I wish everyone would do that. This **** is getting ridiculous. $70 to watch headbutts and sucker punches? Everyone can just go to youtube and find much better scraps of that nature.

People would be talking about this fight regardless! The only difference now is that it is completely negative.

    My thoughts exactly...

Being a self proclaimed greatest, I wouldn't have thrown that second punch, I would have thrown the left hook and just to tell him how do you like that being hit by a cheap shot, but that is enough...

I think it was what's merchant is driving at, you are great, you are dominating, you could easily win, why on earth would you do that....

Floyd has never had any problems with that. He can talk with Jim Lampley about football games in the middle of a boxing match.

In other words. No. Not quite, son.

No it was after "every clinch" you dip****.

SOme of you ****s have gone from "Ortiz clinched a couple of times" to "after every clinch" to even comparing his suckerpunch to the one Butler threw.

You desperate lowlifes, how low must you stoop to defend this scumbag:huh

    Lance? Where you go buddy?

Has anyone ever even seen me defend Mayweather before? No? 80% of the blame lies on Ortiz, the rest belong to May and Cortez.
