I think boxing was better when there was no twitter, boxing forums and facebook. None of this...

Don't think it qualifies as KOTY because Ortiz wasn't ready. It was legal sure, but it doesn't feel right, even though it is obviously Ortiz's fault that he wasn't ready.

Donaires punch on Monteil was one of the greatest punches in the history of boxing. A crushing, lighting fast left hook that destroyed a top fighter, early in the fight. Beautiful. It is a lock for KO of the year.

I'm still waiting for replies from the group below who said Floyd's KO was not wrong.

Where are the votes from these people who voted Floyd did nothing wrong? :think

Ortiz was KTFO! So why not KO Of The Year or candidate? Why? Why are they avoiding this thread?

It was Knockdown Of The Year for sure. Montiel got up. Ref then stepped in to stop the fight when he saw Montiel was not fit to continue.

Ortiz was KTFO and counted out on the canvas despite have a 14 pound advantage over Floyd.

Yet, despite all the Floyd support on ESB, there is no nomination for KO Of The Year. Not one. The KO punches Floyd threw looked immaculate IMO. But no Floyd fan seems to agree. :think

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

I don't think you gonna get any takers... I don't think they want to be laughed at or ridiculed more than they have to. They already KNOW they have a credibility problem being the Pretty One's True Fans, but if they were really to argue that what Mayweather did was KOTY material what little they have GOES straight out the window.... :rasta

    Thanks for your input.

    Now answer the thread topic.

Is Floyd's KO over Ortiz candidate for KO Of The Year? Explain why or why not. :hey

Yeah, that KO is so masterful. No one could've done that better than Floyd. It should be up there, as one of the most sensational KO of all time. It was purely legal.

Definitely the most amazing LEGAL punch that I have seen my entire life. :good

That was by far the nicest KO of an idiot with his hands down since Peden Campbell 1 only a little cheaper.

Nate Campbell trying to imitate Ricardo Mayorga.

    Fail.

There is only one Ricardo Mayorga.
