Larry Merchant has seen it all & knows how to nip bull**** in the bud + he's no arse licker, i've always liked his style & quotes, he cuts straight to it, top man:yep
The reason Floyd bugged out of the interview was that he knew after larry had stroked him & flattered him he was going too be ambushed by larry's next question & after all the praise ect ect that next question would have been..............what about MANNY PACQUIAO Floyd knew it was coming up next & fled
**** that, its sometimes the interviewers responsibility to play devils advocate and ask the seemingly difficult questions post fight. Especially when something so controversial happens.
Ed Robinson did a similar thing (putting hard questions to people, rather than offering to spark out a prizefighter) when we interviewed Robert Smith (?) of the BBBoC after the Burns - Cook fight (i think Ed referred to it as a farce. I'm all for hard questions if something is seemingly not right. But what i dont like is a 34 year old boxer getting in the face of an 80 year old man trying to do his job. For me, it was disgusting and completely uncalled for on Floyd's part. And the funny thing is, he is too scared to get in Manny's face!
Larry was only doing his job - floyd acted like the spolit brat that he is. He is a total **** of a man.
Only person looking like a twat was Mayweather he need's to grow up and grow some balls and fight Manny....then we can all see Mayweather where he belongs! On his arse knocked out a defeated....he's and hisa crew are an embarassement!
